Time for the Scary Truth
Posted on June 30, 2020 by Robert Ringer
I’m rarely surprised by anything that happens in the squalid, corrupt world of politics, but I have to admit that President Trump caught me off guard with his embarrassing vaudeville act in Tulsa ten days ago. I’m not a big Trump fan, per se, but I do support most of his freedom and free-market policies.
Also, even though he often fails to back up his threats with action, I believe he has displayed far more courage than any other Republican president in my lifetime. Ronald Reagan was pretty good at hitting back, at least during his early years in office, but not as good as Trump. All the other Republican presidents — the Bushes, Nixon, Ford, et al — have been nothing more than enablers for depraved Democratic behavior. More succinctly, they were unprincipled cowards who desperately wanted to convince their Democratic “colleagues” that they were liberals at heart.
Which brings me back to Trump’s Tulsa fiasco. I’m at a loss to understand what he was trying to prove with his longwinded, childish story about the media’s coverage of his slow walk down a ramp at West Point, followed by an equally frivolous anecdote about not spilling water on his tie. He came across more like a defensive middle schooler than the “leader of the free world,” and, unfortunately, people are not known to vote for defensive middle schoolers.
I realize that Rule No. 1 of the president’s base is “let Trump be Trump,” and I agree that it would be a mistake to try to mold him into something he is not. But when you see him preparing to do a swan dive off a 100-foot cliff into shark-infested waters, it seems to me you have a moral obligation to try to save him — especially when saving the country happens to be at stake as well.
I guess a little comic relief is okay now and then, but the focus of an election campaign — especially for a weird election like this one — should be on scaring people out of their wits with the truth. That’s right, skip the comedy and chest pounding, and focus instead on relentlessly hammering home to voters what will happen if Joe Biden and the Dirty Dems run the table in November.
What, exactly, is the scary truth? How about AOC heading up the Department of Energy? Or Beto O’Rourke calling the shots at the Environmental Protection Agency? Or Cory Booker being appointed Secretary of State? Or Keith Ellison succeeding Bill Barr as Attorney General? Even worse, if Democrats gain control of the Senate, they will have the power to appoint Supreme Court justices. How would you like to see Eric Holder, Andrew Weissman, or the infamous Michael Flynn judge, Emmet Sullivan, on the Supreme Court? Now that is what you call scary.
Another scary truth is that if Biden were to win the election, he would be nothing more than a puppet. He might be president of the Delaware Basement Dwellers Society, but that’s about it. The real president would be the woman his puppet masters anoint to be his running mate. Can you imagine moronic Kamala Harris or serial liar Susan Rice as president of the United States?
Of course, the real power behind Biden and his VP would be Comrade Barry. That’s right, the nightmare of all nightmares would come to life — an Obama third term — and this time you can be certain he would finish the job of fundamentally transforming the United States of America.
Voters may be fed up with Trump’s verbiage, chest-pounding, and hyperbole, but I don’t think they’re ready for the dismantling of the foundations of their country by Radical Left Democrats and their Antifa/Black Lives Matter enforcers. Even so, you can’t assume voters are consciously thinking about these things when their minds are filled with job insecurity, financial problems, their family’s safety, and the China virus.
Which is why they have to be constantly reminded of what will happen if the Democrats get hold of the reins of power. They have to be constantly reminded that the cities with the highest violent-crime rates have been controlled by Democrats for decades. They have to be constantly reminded of how Democrats wasted tens of millions of taxpayer dollars on the baseless Russia-collusion and Ukraine witch hunts, and are hellbent on starting as many new hoax-based investigations as possible.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t for a second believe the polls that show Sleepy Joe 10-15 points ahead of the president, but I do believe that if Trump is not able to get a grip on his personality disorder, the Dirty Dems could actually achieve the unthinkable and win the House, the Senate, and the White House. Very, very scary.
On the bright side of things, when push comes to shove, how many voters really want to see America overrun by a mob of vicious psychopaths who are intent on abolishing the police, tearing down historical statues, and burning American cities to the ground? Not many, I would wager, which is why Trump needs to constantly remind voters what will happen if the Dirty Dems sweep into power on November 3.
Let’s hope Trump’s campaign team can turn things around in the next four months, because if they can’t, the United States of Armageddon will be the result. On the other hand, if Trump is able to put aside the nonsensical rhetoric and focus on what’s at stake in this election, the Democrats are almost certain to win it for him by once again overplaying their hand with their malicious, insane rhetoric and actions.
What voters need to hear from this point on is the scary truth, not the president’s personal grievances.
I'm hoping that the real silent majority will rise up and vote even though they don't personally like president Trump…because they realize he's doing a good job and you don't have to *like* the president. Look how much damage Clinton and Obama caused…and they were charismatic. I had an opportunity in about '93 to meet Clinton (and Gore). What a study in opposites when it came to charm and charisma. Anyway, I think we need to go back to when people vote based on ability and character and not on charisma. And I hope that the majority of voters do as well. I'd like the president to win not only the electoral college but also the popular vote to send a strong message that we want to be a country with the rule of law.
And a very scary thought it is to think of Sleepy Joe winning and the loss of the House and Senate. It alarms me just to think about it or be reminded of it. It is the mother of all nightmares just to imagine or think about what will happen to this country once the radical left takes control. There are only four months left and something has got change or turn around…..fast! It's just got to. It was just about six or seven months ago people were saying that Trump was a shoo-in to be re-elected. But I was very skeptical and apprehensive about it, because a lot could change by election day. You know, there is an old saying my mom used to say, and that is, "Never count your chickens before they are hatched". How true, how true. The Republican Party is in the panic mode. And so am I. I just hope and pray that President Trump gets re-elected and the Republicans take the House and keep the Senate. If not, this country is through. It's over.
I wish Trump had a trusted political advisor who would clear his Tweets and public statements before he hit the send button …
We know Mr Trump isn't a politician because he finds hiding his real feelings is impossible. That is what makes him so attractive. But his other attributes are hurting him and if he doesn't pay attention his loss will hurt us and the USA. I do hope he will try to understand that what worked before against an awful person, HRC, won't work against the puppet Biden. Biden, at least, isn't offensive. Biden isn't qualified either but that doesn't matter. Trump simply needs to take Ringer's advice – hammer home the consequences of a democrat win, ignore the puppet, he doesn't matter.
Whenever I see a new RR article, I say "Thank goodness there is still an honest adult in the room, countering the mainstream media insanity."
If the point of so-called "democracy" is to select the best leaders, then a Biden victory will prove that democracy (in its current form) DOESN'T WORK! As outlined above by Robert, would any rational person select zombie Biden as a better leader than Trump? And if a majority of voters DO elect Biden over Trump, what does that say about my "fellow Americans?"
A glimmer of hope–Trump smashed Hillary in the debates, and I think Joe will have trouble standing up that long and remaining semi-coherent while Trump attacks. When Biden is shown to be as pathetic as he is, all America will see it.
P.S.: I watched Trump's Tulsa speech and I really liked it. RR and others–don't let the media color your perceptions!
The most glaring way to contrast Trump to Biden would be a campaign poster – on the left, show photos of cities burning, businesses being looted and buildings, monuments and statues being defaced. On the right, have a smiling "glam" photo of ANY Democrat running for office – house, senate or Biden himself. Caption it: If you want more of THIS (arrow pointing left), then vote for more of THIS (arrow pointing toward Democrat). I would rather see those never-Trumpers vote for a libertarian or sit the election out than side with the demise of western civilization and ultimately, martial law or sharia.
The truth is that America will never be made great by DT. And has DT drained The Swamp? No. Not even one Swamp Creature is in prison. “Lock her up! Lock her up”! Remember that? Not one of DC criminals have been brought to justice. Not even one….. And what about the tens of millions of illegal invaders? And the Wall? What about foreign trade? And all of the other big talking promises? Just look at the national debt now… $$$$$$$
The truth is DT merely bought you and me some more time to prepare for the collapse of Western Civilization. That’s all. DT slowed down the growth of the Swamp. He slowed down gun control. Did you take advantage of that? DT slowed down Marxism, but it’s still moving two steps forward and one step back. In case it has escaped your notice: civil war is coming….. And war is never great no matter how necessary….
For the first time in my life I have SERIOUSLY began researching and thinking about moving OUT of the country. I served in the military and have enjoyed some of the great times of the country, but my gut tells me it's all over.
I don't think most people have stopped to realize that even if Trump wins a landslide victory, the odds are extremely high the Demoncraps will not accept the election results and Civil War 2 will officially begin.
I'd love Trump to win again, but for the overall health of the country it might be better for him to step aside and let Pence run.
But then again, maybe that would be trying to sweep dirt under the rug. Maybe it would be best for Trump to win and let the Civil War begin… it's going to happen eventually anyway.
I'd be perfectly fine if we split the country up into two or more new countries and let the left live in their own CHAZ infested Hellhole.
Can anyone recommend another country to move to? Antarctica perhaps?
Better pack sweaters–it might get nippy!
President Trump must declare "Martial Law" (1st quarter 2021), and commence the roundup of the top incompetent idiots in both parties (mostly in the social/Democrats), and either put them to the guillotine or in cells at Gitmo which Obummer vacated. This chaos will only be neutralized by show of strong force.
Trump will win, it's inevitable, the only thing that i'm concerned about is that the Demonrats will cheat via mail in ballots. During the civil war northern politicians despised Lincoln, and when judges ridiculed the president he had some of them arrested.
Unfortunately, I believe you are correct. A Trump win will be important, but a hollow victory because the radicals will merely ramp up their hate and destruction tactics.
At age 75, I am totally frustrated by my lifelong acquaintances, some of whom are Democrats, who cannot see what is happening and are totally blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Trump is not perfect for sure, but at least he calls it as he sees it..
I cannot understand why those of our generation who have probably had the greatest benefit of our wonderful country for the last 50 years are not outraged by the corruption and pure lawlessness in D.C. by the bureaucrats and politicians alike.
This is NOT a partisan issue, it is an AMERICAN issue. Silent coups are not acceptable here. Rioting in the streets is not acceptable here.
If something is not done by the authorities to quell this insurrection, then the people WILL quell it. 350,000,000 citizens cannot be ruled by a handful of Marxist thugs..BLM..Antifa and brainwashed youth.
And, I predict, they won't be.
On an unrelated note I found a lead with trying to find that old Fortune magazine article about an airplane broker. May have to have a skilled librarian find the actual article. I believe the broker's name was Henryk de Kwiatkowski.
I chose Donald Trump because he has more economic and practical experience than Joe Biden. Biden's son is an incompetent, addicted military man, but getting a contract upgrade in large corporations outside the US is a sign to look forward to!
