Will Midterms Change Dem Behavior?

If Republicans take back the House and Senate in November, you might assume Democrats will have learned their lesson.   If so, you will have assumed wrong.  With the help of the conservative wing of the Uniparty, you can be sure Democrats will carry on their crusade for absolute power by whatever means necessary.  Not only will there not be a letup in their hatemongering and violence, look for it to dramatically increase immediately after Republicans take control of the House and Senate.

My guess is that Democrats will refuse to acknowledge the election results and therefore feel justified in taking whatever actions are necessary to “save democracy.”  Look for them to engage in nonstop screaming sessions, hysterically accusing Republicans of all the usual tripe — racism, white supremacy, homophobia … yawn.  This time, however, they will attempt things they have never tried before, such as refusing to show up for work at the House and Senate (a stunt already attempted by Dems in the Texas House in 2021).

The bottom line is that Democrats, without a hint of embarrassment, will act as though they are still in the majority and proceed with business as usual, no matter how badly voters reject them.  After all, those voters are nothing but a bunch of fly-over-country morons whose opinions are irrelevant.

All this would seem a hopeless task for Dems, but rest assured there will be plenty of Republicans who will rush to appease them and sell out their own constituents.  Shameless GOP members like Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, Kevin McCarthy, and Mitt Romney will do everything in their power to help the out-of-power Dems maintain a dominant voice in both houses of Congress.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:  The only effective way to deal with real insurrectionists — which is what most members of the Democrat Party are — is to prosecute them and put them behind bars for long periods of time.  Do you think you might be able to find a few serious crimes that people like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Chuck Schumer have committed?  These people cannot be rehabilitated.  The only way to deal with them is to lock them up.

This, however, is wishful thinking unless there are enough new members of Congress who are willing to live up to their campaign promises and join America First stalwarts like MTG, Lauren Boebert, and Matt Gaetz and stand up to the Dem-loving Republican establishment.  It will be interesting to see if the new batch of House and Senate members live up to their campaign rhetoric and not yield to the temptation to join arms with establishment Republicans who will fight to the death to maintain the status quo.
