When Insanity Becomes Reality

Former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines was enjoying a charmed life, succeeding in just about everything she undertook in a country she believed was solidly entrenched in the principal of meritocracy.  Then, along came a bully who declared himself to be a woman and adopted the name Lia Thomas for his newly created fictitious life.

Thomas was a student at the University of Pennsylvania and an average swimmer on the men’s swimming team.  However, encouraged by the insanity of the world around him, he announced that he was actually a woman.  Never mind that thing hanging between his legs; he was now a female because he said so.

Thomas then announced that he was joining the women’s swimming team at Penn.  The result?  Say goodbye to mediocrity and hello to magically setting new swimming records — for women, that is.  Welcome to America 2023, where insanity has come to be accepted as reality.  The game is simple:  Just state your fantasy out loud and it is transformed into reality.

Riley Gaines is one of the few women to speak out against so-called trans women (i.e., men) competing in women’s sports after being cheated out of a first-place finish by the aforementioned Lia Thomas.  Gaines even had the audacity to openly object to Lia Thomas’ galivanting around the women’s locker room with his genitalia exposed.

As a result of all this, Riley Gaines — not Thomas — has been vilified by the media and threatened by lunatics from coast to coast.  When she tried to speak at San Francisco State University, she was shouted down and physically assaulted, and, to rub insult into injury, the police on the scene did little to protect her.  In a sane world, Riley Gaines would be a folk hero, but in today’s woke world she’s a pariah.

None of this should be surprising to anyone, given that in America 2023, insanity masquerades as reality with very little pushback.  Parents who speak out at school board meetings are accused of being terrorists, while a mass murderer in Nashville is portrayed as a victim.  George Orwell’s world is now our world, a world where “war is peace; freedom is slavery; ignorance is strength.”

The truth is that Americans are suffering from a mass psychosis the likes of which the world has never before witnessed, and it didn’t come from a lab in Wuhan.  Rather, it came from a culture that has been in decline for decades, a culture that is now rotten to the core.

There are many factors that contribute to America’s mass psychosis, but I believe the number-one cause is the unrelenting pressure applied to otherwise sane people to participate in woke groupthink.  The incentive for them to fall in line is their desire to avoid mental, even physical, harassment.  Much of this is done through social media, but the pressure to conform can be felt everywhere, including at work, on television, and in academia.

Make no mistake about it, the wokesters’ goal is to dismantle civilization as we know it.  Everything normal people love about America must be destroyed, because leftists hate the concept of the proletariat being free to make their own decisions.  The radical left is laser focused on achieving a totalitarian grip on American society, a society where dissent is forbidden.

There are no easy answers as to how to cure the mass psychosis that has gripped the United States, but I believe it has to start with normal Americans refusing to acknowledge the accusations and threats coming from emotionally disturbed people.  The second step is to elect men and women to public office who are willing to prosecute those who break the law.  Not sanction them, prosecute them — and start by breaking down their doors in the middle of the night and putting them in handcuffs.  Democrats have already demonstrated that they believe this kind of action is both legal and appropriate.

When insanity becomes reality, you no longer have a country.  What you have are millions of emotionally disturbed people making up their own rules.  My message to them is simple:  You can call yourself a golden retriever, you can urinate on your neighbor’s bushes, you can even eat dog food if that’s your preference — but you’ll never be a dog!  If that makes you angry, talk to God about it.  I’m just the messenger.

Whether or not it’s too late to do anything about the destruction of the American Empire is up for debate, but if there is to be a serious course correction, a good time for sane people to start would be NOW.

Totally agree with you, Robert. People have absolutely lost their minds, their sense of reality, and have embraced insanity. In my everyday dealings with the public, I see, especially the younger people, some whereby you cannot determine if they are male or female. And I wonder, have they no shame, no rational sense of personal pride? Sometimes I feel like I just don't fit in with today's culturally rotten world. People are sick. It seems nowadays in America 2023 that whatever is good is now deemed to be bad and whatever is bad is seen to be good.

Robert, somewhere I have a copy of your book "How You Can Find Happiness During The Collapse of Western Civilization." You wrote it about 40 years ago and you were right about where we were headed back then. Now we are just about there. I guess I need to read it again because I forgot how to find happiness during this mess.

Robert's book is a masterpiece and one of his best. I really wish that book was still in print because so much in it back then has come true. Once in a while in my comments on here I have brought up that book. I even have several copies of it. A true masterpiece indeed!

The saddest part about all of this is that we're talking about an extreme minority – roughly 1/2 of a percent of all people truly qualify as "trans" – born with Kleinfelter's Syndrome so they have an XXY chromosome configuration, and having both male and female sex organs. These are medically-afflicted people who also, thanks to brain chemistry and hormonal issues, also tend to have psychological problems. All of the others are either neurotic, attention-seekers, or in "Lia" Thomas's case, found a way to game the system. Like every other person who wants to play the "victim" card, these nincompoops trivialize the actual suffering that Kleinfelter's people deal with.

Going forward, I will identify as a 120 pound 19-year-old. So what if I get social security, have cellulite and wear a lot larger clothing than a size 10! You're not supposed to notice. If you do, then you're (choose one – racist, homophobic, a fat-shamer, a mysogynist, a white supremacist who probably owns a gun). And I get to be a "victim" too!

Excellent, but truly sad article. Unfortunately, I think we are well past the stage of "waking up." I know everyone throws that phrase around a lot, and we even believe it when Democrats get thrown out of government, but the reality is nothing really changes. We seem to keep progressing further from reality with each passing year. We aren't even going back to how things were 20 years ago, much 50-60 years ago, when America still had something left to give. I think the best course at this point is to do whatever you can personally do to create as much freedom as you can in your own life and forget the pipe dream of "waking up" the rest of the population. I love that book by Robert as well. I read it again this past summer. Truly a great read and oh, so true.

I just wish I'd known. I'd have driven up to SF and knocked some sense into the bullies. Somehow I don't know what they'd do if a woman fought back.

We are in strange times, but I think many in the public are becoming much less sensitive to the advocates of males pretending to be females. Notice that the reverse situations haven't happened so "gaming" of the system is more than obvious. I do hope that when the activists begin to appear ridiculous we might see a change.

The world of today has become less fun when offense can be found in anything.
