Punishing the Many to Appease the Few

First, we had Budweiser. Then we had Foxweiser. Now it’s Dodgerweiser and Targetweiser. Normal people are asking, “What the hell is going on here?” None of this makes any sense. So why is it happening? Why are people who have never given the word transgender a second thought suddenly jumping on board and helping to destroy Western culture by pandering to a small percentage of the population?
When puppet Joe angrily shouted “transgender Americans shape our nation’s soul,” he had absolutely no idea what he was saying. But the 25-year-old kids who put this kind of nonsense into his teleprompter knew exactly what they were instructing him to say. Born into a spoiled, bored generation, millions of young activists are desperately searching for a meaning to their unfulfilled lives, and proclaiming their virtuosity is an effortless way to fill the void of a life without accomplishment.
This self-proclaimed virtuosity can be applied to whatever fancies the lost soul at any given moment — “climate change,” white supremacy, transgenderism — anything that flies in the face of common sense, Judeo-Christian values, and a civilized society. The objective is not to build a better world, but to destroy the world that you believe to be responsible for your own misery.
The du jour cause of today’s culture is diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI, which is especially attractive to the perpetually disgruntled because it’s undefinable. Diversity, equity, and inclusion is whatever the DEI warrior says it is. He is, after all, the sole bearer of truth, and his mission in life is to save you from your own ignorance.
When I was growing up, such silliness would have been ignored by normal people, but if there were any weirdos around who were promoting the merits of transgenderism, the evils of white supremacy, or the need for human beings to change the weather, I must have been oblivious to it. Neither teachers nor principals suffered young fools in those days, and blathering about stuff like this likely would have gotten someone expelled from school.
As to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the truth is that diversity comes from an individual desire to interact with people whose opinions and worldviews are different from yours. Someone else’s idea of diversity is irrelevant to what you believe, thus the rational thing to do is to ignore any such ideas.
When it comes to equity, everyone creates his own equity through individual accomplishment. Forced equity — a.k.a. communism — can only be brought about by thugs whose goal is to enslave others. The desire to impose equity on large populations has resulted in more than 100 million brutal deaths in prison countries like the Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Cambodia, and North Korea.
Lastly, inclusion comes from an individual’s desire to include others in his own affairs. It’s a choice that is his alone, and in a free society no one else has a right to interfere with that choice.
Sorry, lefties, but the American dream is not about diversity, equity, and inclusion. It’s about self‑responsibility and the individual ‘s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which he has the best chance of achieving if he is free of government coercion. In fact, the one entity that should never be involved in bringing about diversity, equity, and inclusion is government, because government represents the use of force, and force, by its very nature, is always anti-freedom.
Whether it’s Target’s “Pride Collection,” Dylan Mulvaney’s kisser on a can of Bud Light, or a freak show at Dodger Stadium, the harsh truth is that it all stems from mental illness, and encouraging such deviant behavior is cruel to those who are so afflicted. If people believe they can change genders by ignoring biological reality and simply announcing to the world they are a different gender, the most humane thing we can do is provide them with psychological help.
Whether it’s a belief in nonbiological men and women, a belief that white supremacy is “the most dangerous terrorist threat” to America, or a belief that climate change is an existential threat to humanity, pretending to go along with people who tout such beliefs is hurtful rather than helpful. Punishing the many to appease the few is a wicked idea that smacks of satanism. When you bow to the mob and confess your privilege, cheer perversion, or pretend to agree that human beings have the power to change the climate, you are guilty of appeasing those who live by the lie.
The concept of forced diversity, equity, and inclusion reminds me of an observation by the great Eric Hoffer who once said, “A man is likely to mind his own business when it is worth minding. When it is not, he takes his mind off his own meaningless affairs by minding other people’s business.” Simply put, government does not have a right to interfere with the sovereignty of any individual, and the attempt to force diversity, equity, and inclusion on a supposedly free people is the ultimate in government interference.
This country has simply gone insanely mad. It seems that everything considered good, sane, and moral is now considered bad, insane, and immoral. Conversely, everything considered bad, insane, and immoral is considered good, sane, and moral. Also too, the candy Skittles has hopped onto the rainbow bandwagon by celebrating "pride", donating part of the money purchased by consumers that will go to LGBTQ artists and storytelling. Yes, Western Civilization has finally collapsed, crashed, and burned.
I guess "Brave New World" has come into reality now ,especially when a New York professor can attack a reporter with a machete knife with no charges, but a man on a New York subway can get charged with murder while protecting citizens-even though the perpetrator's death was obviously accidental .I do have to commend Vivek Ramaswamy's idea of raising the voting age to at least 25.(one of Robert's ideas of at least 40 years ago-and today's younger generation is a lot less mature than the one of 40 years ago.)
All of this DEI reminds me of the Emperor's new clothes. Somehow the investment community after being badgered about climate change has latched onto the DEI mantra. Exxon took on the greenies and even their new directors eventually balked at the agenda as the economy tanked. Slowly people are understanding that cheap energy supports the economy and prosperity. Woops. The excess in energy allows innovation failures which lead to success. So the DEI effort will head to the same realization but only after more pain. Can't quite understand how the investment community can get so off track trying to please their partners in government. Stupid policy eventually fails as it should.
