What’s happening to the Dirty Dems right now confirms the truth in the maxim “Be careful what you wish for or you may get it.”  They’re learning the hard way that getting what you want can have very painful consequences.

The fuel that powers the Dirty Dems’ self-destructive wishes is their stock in trade — lies.  They don’t just lie, they laugh about it, brag about it, and celebrate it.  And, above all, they are relentless.  Their overconfidence motivates them to double-down, triple-down, and quadruple-down on their lies.

And why not?  After all, they know that their Radical Left base, the Fake News Media, and even some RINOs will applaud their efforts, so what’s to lose?  Absolutely nothing.  They have plenty to gain, however, in the way of raw, unadulterated power.

While the Dirty Dem wish list is very long, right now there are two wish-for problems, in particular, that are rapidly growing out of control, to wit:

The first problem is the invasion at our southern border by immigrants trying to enter the United States illegally.  The Dirty Dems’ response to this crisis is to insist that it’s “manufactured.”  It’s one of those “don’t believe your lying eyes” kind of lies.  But as the invaders ramp up their numbers of illegal crossings and create ever more havoc with drugs, human trafficking, and other crimes, the Dirty Dems are going to find it more and more difficult to deny that it’s happening.

The basic miscalculation that open-borders advocates make is that they base their arguments on the false premise that since Americans are generous and welcoming people, they have a moral obligation to help illegal aliens gain entrance into the United States without having to go through the laborious process of becoming actual citizens.

Keep in mind that a false premise is usually an a priori argument wherein one merely states his conclusion as his premise.  It’s a cute little trick if you can get away with it, and the Dirty Dems have been getting away with it for decades.

Of course, a thinking person recognizes that he has no moral obligation to accept someone else’s conclusion/opinion as a guide to how he should live his life.  I doubt that many citizens voted for their congressperson because they wanted them to help improve the lives of illegal immigrants.  On the contrary, it’s safe to assume that they sent them to Washington to pass legislation to make their own lives better.

Nor did they want their representatives to spend billions of dollars for housing, feeding, educating, and taking care of the medical needs of people who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States.  Or to plant them in cities throughout the country without the permission of the legal residents of those cities.

That, however, does not deter elected officials who care little about the desires of the voters who put them in office.  Perversely, working on behalf of illegal immigrants is precisely what most Democrats and establishment Republicans believe to be one of their top priorities.

Don’t get me wrong.  I’m sure that most Americans would agree that helping to improve the lives of people from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador is a noble objective that should be a top priority — for the governments of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, that is.

The Dirty Dems’ second major wish-for problem comes courtesy of Somalia’s answer to Alexandria Moronio-Cortez — Ilhan Omar, who currently has the Dirty Dems fiercely braying in pain.  The big lie here that’s coming back to bite the Dirty Dems is their insistence that Muslims can do no wrong and that “Islamophobia” poses a greater danger to America than Islamic terrorism.  This, notwithstanding the Muslim carnage in places like Fort Hood, Fort Dix, San Bernardino, and the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

The San Bernardino carnage was especially telling because of the government’s rejoinder to it.  In a stunning outburst, then attorney general Loretta “Tarmac” Lynch threatened to investigate anyone who “uses anti-Muslim rhetoric.”  Obama’s Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson also chimed in by warning American citizens that they “must not vilify American Muslims.”  The message was clear:  We must protect Muslims from hurt feelings at all costs.

Such statements are precisely what makes Islamophobia phobia — the fear of offending Muslims — the most dangerous of all Islamic terrorists.  It also breeds anti-Semitic hate mongers like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.  The Dirty Dems are getting what they wished for and, as a result, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for Nancy Pelosi to keep her dentures in place.

Of course, rational, mentally stable people realize that calling out Omar and Tlaib for making outrageous anti-Semitic statements does not make someone an “Islamophobe.”  It just makes them honest.  Nevertheless, the Dirty Dems stood their ground and refused to specifically condemn Omar for her blatant anti-Semitic remarks, instead condemning both anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim bias.

It goes without saying that most Americans have nothing against Muslims of goodwill, just as they have nothing against civilized African-Americans of goodwill or civilized white Americans of goodwill.  Likewise, just because someone reviles reprobates like Chuck Schumer, Richard Blumenthal, Jerry Nadler, and Adam Schiff does not make them anti-Semitic.  It does not cast a shadow on Jews like Mark Levin, Dennis Prager, and Congressman Lee Zeldin who are staunch advocates of liberty.

The two big wish-for problems above are almost certain to get worse over the next 20 months and, if so, will be more than the pathetic crop of Dirty Dem presidential candidates will be able to handle.  Even so, they’re just the tip of the Dirty Dem wish list, which includes such other goodies as:

Socialism, as well as the term “democratic socialism” that they use to camouflage it, is a wish that most of the Dirty Dem 2020 presidential candidates are already frantically running away from.  Their panic reminds me of Gene Wilder, in the film Young Frankenstein, when he was trapped in the laboratory with the monster, pounding on the door and shouting, “I was joking!  I was joking!”

A few other big wish-for items include artificially raising the minimum wage (which already is causing businesses to shed jobs and workers’ hours), manmade global warming and its desperate, phony fallback position, “climate change,” and absurdities in the Green New Deal, such as abolishing everything from airplanes to cows, rebuilding every building in the United States (I love it!), and redistributing money from those who work for a living to those who prefer to relax all day.

Let’s hope the Dirty Dems keep wishing for more and more outrageous things, and that they keep spreading more and more lies in an effort to get them.  Then let’s hope that they actually get what they wish for in the form of more and bigger problems that result in more and more Radical Left hysteria.

Of course, to keep everything in perspective, we should never lose sight of the fact that none of this may even matter if we’re only going to be around another 12 years.
