Now that the Supreme Court has pushed back against the Democrat Death Cult, it’s time to reflect on what it all means.  Ardent pro-life people say it’s a victory for those who believe in the sanctity of life, and it certainly is that.  But there’s something more foundational that the Supreme Court’s decision has brought into the open.

For years I have been warning that as Democrats continue to lose power, they will become more and more desperate.  And if it ever gets to a point where voters relegate them to a minority status and they are no longer able to use the Supreme Court to push through legislation that voters reject, they will declare all-out war and ignore the law, the Constitution, and any and all court rulings they unilaterally decide are “illegitimate.”

In just one week’s time, Democrats have lost the power to keep law-abiding citizens from carrying a concealed weapon, force all states to accept the ghoulish policy of abortion on demand, give illegal aliens the right to vote, and prevent a school employee from praying in public.  To say they are panicked would be a wild understatement.

Their panic stems not from the fact that they believe concealed weapons will make America a more dangerous place, or that outlawing abortions in some states will endanger women’s health, or that not allowing non-citizens to vote is a cruel injustice, or that allowing a football coach to pray in public violates the Constitution.  Democrats have no interest in any of these issues.

What Democrat panic stems from is the fact that they are losing their control over people’s lives.  Because of their outrageous anti-American, anti-liberty, anti-life policies, more and more voters are coming to realize that Democrats have no interest in helping to improve the lives of their constituents and that their sole objective is to increase their own power.  As a result, the Democrat Party is bleeding once loyal voters at a record pace.

Simply put, now that the Supreme Court is finally starting to do its job, Democrats realize they are losing their ability to legislate through unelected officials and, in desperation, are openly calling for an insurrection.  Give Maxine Waters credit for one thing, she summed up the left’s position perfectly when she shrieked, “To hell with court.  We will defy them.”

Given that there are millions of its own citizens who want to destroy it, the United States cannot maintain a constitutional republic much longer without aggressively confronting and punishing the forces who are aligned against it.  We have reached a moral tipping point where either the violent insurrectionists will win or those who believe in the rule of law, the Constitution, and a civilized society will win.

If the recent Supreme Court decisions have taught us anything, it is that each of us is going to have to make a choice as to whether we want to live in a barbaric society where threats and violence from mentally unbalanced hooligans determine America’s destiny or a civilized society where nonviolence and the rule of law prevail.  The two cannot coexist.
