There are two critical rules …

There are two critical rules to follow when deciding what you want to do with your life.

First, don’t make the mistake of trying to be what someone else thinks you should be. Whomever that someone else may be, he/she will not have to endure the frustration and unhappiness that result from your working at something you don’t enjoy.

Second, never listen to anyone who tries to convince you that what you’re contemplating is too unrealistic or too hard, or that it’s too late for you to undertake it. If it’s what you genuinely want to do, do it.

Take a cue from Jonathan Livingston Seagull and don’t be afraid to spread your wings above the negative masses.
