Promptly and unequivocally admitting you’re wrong (when you are) is an almost magical way to gain the respect and cooperation of others. I’m always fascinated by people who defend obvious mistakes with a ferocity that leads others to believe they fear they may be placed in front of a firing squad if they are found to be wrong.
Admitting you’re wrong is actually a very easy proposition, and each time you do it, it becomes easier than the time before. It’s a great way not only to look good in the eyes of others, but to feel good inside. And the cost is zero..
