The bogus criminal charges against Donald Trump reminds us once again that we now live in a police state.  Not a figurative police state, but an actual one.  FBI Whistleblower Garret O’Boyle made that clear when he told Congress, “The government will crush you and your family if you try to expose the truth about things that they are doing that are wrong.”

Trump is not the first person to be targeted by the Deep State.  Politicians and unelected bureaucrats have been crushing those they deem to be threats to their power almost from the beginning of the republic.  What is different today is not only the ruthlessness of politicians and their surrogates, but the alliances government has formed that make it almost impossible for the voices of truth to be heard.

These alliances include not only members of both major political parties, but their allies in the government bureaucracies, the mainstream media, academia, unions, major sports leagues, the entertainment industry, and corporate America, among others.  Throughout history, leftists have been incredibly disciplined at playing the long game, and it currently is paying off handsomely in the unholy alliances they have in place.

I think Marx and Engels sincerely and naively believed people would be blissfully happy once they were forced to share the fruits of their labor with others.  Which is a nice fantasy, to be sure, but when it came to putting the principles of communism into practice, it took brutal psychopaths like Lenin and Stalin to force people to obey.  In the process, Stalin alone murdered tens of millions of his countrymen, and Mao later outdid him by killing as many as 80 million Chinese.

The home base for these communist adherents in 21^st century America is the Democrat Party, and while they don’t openly resort to murder, they embrace communist dictums and methods.  The fact that virtually every facet of American society is now aligned with the Democrat Party makes it almost impossible for honest people to expose the crime and corruption they see all around them.  When Mr. Smith goes to Washington today, he is met with the harsh realities of life in the swamp.  And Mr. Smith is no longer Jimmy Stewart, but a brash brawler from Queens.

Donald Trump didn’t go nearly as far as many of us would have liked him to when he was in the White House, but what he did was enough to scare the hell out of the swamp dwellers — politicians, bureaucrats, and donors alike.  The possibility that if he gets a second crack at the presidency he might take even more aggressive action to root out and punish the corruptocrats in the swamp was enough to convince the regime that it had no choice but to resort to swift and extreme measures to prevent him from even running again.

Since everything else had failed to dissuade Trump, the most extreme measure they decided to implement was to have the DOJ, the FBI, and their AG surrogates throughout the country go after him with guns blazing.  The idea is not only to convince voters that Trump is a crook, but to tie him up in knots so it will be difficult for him to even campaign.

The hope is that Uniparty stalwarts like Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and Mike Pence will join in the feeding frenzy and discourage Trump supporters from voting for him, and they have already gone on the attack.  Nice try, guys, but stripping Trump of his supporters is a longshot at best, and the likelihood is that with each new CNN and MSNBC “bombshell,” Trump’s base will not only get stronger, but more independents and moderate Republican voters will make the decision to support him on principle alone.

Make no mistake about it, what the regime’s law enforcement arm is really doing is interfering in the 2024 election by using the legal system to persuade people to dump  Trump.  Let’s get real:  No one voted for Joe Biden in 2020, and no one is going to vote for him in 2024.  But millions of leftist morons are more than happy to vote for the Democrat Party machine that is trying to destroy their mortal enemy.

In other words, Dem voters don’t care if a senile and corrupt puppet like Joe Biden gets another free pass into the White House, because they know full well that he has nothing to do with creating and enforcing policy.  They are well aware that radical-left puppeteers are the ones running the country, and that is precisely what they want.

All this reminds me of an insightful comment by Tucker Carlson:  “Politicians are very simple organisms. … They don’t want an unlimited number of things.  They want to win elections.  That’s it.”

I would respectfully revise Tucker’s statement and say that what politicians really want is power, and winning elections has always been the American way to achieve power.  But times have changed, and pompous Democrat politicians have increasingly come to resent having to make the effort to persuade the proletariat to vote for them, so they’ve ramped up their efforts to make elections irrelevant.

How do you make elections irrelevant?  By changing the system in such a way as to eliminate elections altogether.  This is the Democrats’ goal, and they have concluded that the best way to accomplish it is to use the legal system to destroy their enemies, starting with the man who has pledged to put an end to their tyranny if he returns to the White House.

In less than a year and a half we will know if they are successful in their efforts, and, if so, it will confirm a growing belief that the United States has devolved from a two-tiered justice system into a country with no justice system at all.
