I was glad I happened to catch D. Trump’s latest appearance on Chris Wallace’s “Fox News Sunday,” because it was another stark reminder that no one can predict the future with 100 percent accuracy.

Who could have foreseen that not only would Donald Trump actually get in the race, but he would be leading in almost every poll as late as mid-October?

Not only that, but some establishment types are actually starting to be won over by his refreshing style. I thought Chris Wallace was going to bust a gut laughing Sunday, so much so that I was afraid he might get carried away and plant a big kiss on Trump.

On the other hand, I thought Wee Georgie Will might burst into tears when Wallace, excited and smiling, repeatedly expressed his obvious admiration for Trump.

My sources tell me that Wee Georgie is now seeing a psychiatrist to try to get some relief from his Trump Derangement Syndrome. Unfortunately, the psychiatrist he’s talking to about it is Charles Krauthammer, who is himself suffering from a somewhat milder form of this insidious condition.

It’s still hard to see how the math adds up for Trump when the guys on life support drop out of the race, but sometimes-liberal, sometimes-conservative, never-libertarian DT has added a healthy dose of panache to his repertoire. He’s actually becoming pretty likable.

If he can charm perhaps 7-8% of those who say they would never vote for him into changing their minds … oh, my gosh … dare we even think about it?

Nah … for the sake of Wee Georgie’s sanity, let’s not go there.
