Considering that the principles …

Considering that the principles upon which America was founded are being desecrated, ridiculed as outdated, and even outlawed, it’s remarkable how many people still appear to have no clue. They are living in the World of Oz, a place where the entertainment of the day is the sole purpose of life.

These same people tend to be the ones who argue that reality is not an absolute, that each individual has his own perception of reality, because each of us perceives the world through our own eyes. In other words, reality changes from person to person.

While it’s certainly true that everyone perceives reality differently, absolute reality could care less about our perceptions. Reality does not change to adapt to our viewpoints; reality is what is. Reality is fact. Reality is truth.

In other words, perception of reality has nothing to do with reality itself. Perception of reality can, and does, vary from person to person. Actual reality, however, does not vary. It is what it is, regardless of whether anyone sees or understands it. Reality is a fixed factor in the equation of life.

The most important reality of all is the simple principle underlying everything in the universe — and, by extension, everything that takes place on earth: actions have consequences. That’s why nothing that has happened to the once strong and proud United States of America over the past ten years or so — and, to a lesser extent, over the past hundred years — should surprise anyone.

The real surprise is that so many millions of folks are blinded to what is happening before their very eyes. Scary thought: What if ignorance really is bliss?
