Big, Bad Senator Grassley on the Warpath

Nearly two years after the fact, fearsome Senator Chuck Grassley is demanding to know why the DOJ hasn’t acted on any of the criminal referrals he sent them regarding four people who lied to Congress during the sham Brett Kavanaugh hearings.  No doubt DOJ criminals are shaking in their boots.

C’mon, Chuck, get real.  We all know that nobody is ever going to be indicted for their lies in the Brett Kavanaugh circus.  Worst of all, Republicans didn’t even have the spine or integrity to investigate the most obvious liar of all, “Squeaky” Blasey Ford.  Starting with her blatant lie about being afraid to fly, followed by her multiple rape fantasies, the woman was a walking fabrication machine.  Not only was no one willing to corroborate her charges, the people she most relied on to support her allegations stated unequivocally that they knew nothing about her tall tales.

Of course, had all the roles been reversed, Democrats would have had lying Republican witnesses behind bars long ago.  Democrats should charge Republicans a consulting fee for showing them how to quickly bring down their enemies.

So, no, there will be no one held accountable for their lies in the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.  Or for trying to overthrow a sitting president.  Or for deleting thousands of emails under subpoena.  Or for lying to a FISA court.  Or for changing state election laws without the legal authority to do so.

The rule is simple:  If a Republican is accused of breaking the law, send in a battalion to break down the door and take them away in handcuffs.  If it’s obvious to everyone that a Democrat has broken the law, huff and puff and threaten to prosecute them, then gradually stop talking about it and let the matter fade into oblivion.

And Democrats can’t figure out why 75 million people are still mad?
