When the Master of Distraction …

When the Master of Distraction assured us that Russia is “just a regional power,” I can’t tell you how relieved I was. I immediately called off plans to build a bomb shelter in my back yard.

I didn’t think the news could get any better, but the last couple of days it’s been over the top. Consider:

Jeb Bush solved the problem of illegal immigration by declaring it to be “an act of love.” That’s what you call compassionate brilliance. His words almost brought tears to my eyes.

Then, Al Sharpton assured us that he’s not a rat. What a horrible thing it would have been for America if one of its most esteemed role models would have turned out to be a rodent disguised as a paragon of social justice.

Not to be outdone, the Commander-in-Debt (pseudonym for the Master of Distraction) topped all of the other pieces of good news by announcing that the debate about Obamacare is officially over. And why not? After all, the Rand Corporation says that a whopping 858,000 previously uninsured Americans have now paid for an Obamacare policy. What a relief to know that only 320 million more people need to be covered by health insurance.

I can’t wait to hear what other good news might be coming down the pike. Maybe Hillary will announce her candidacy in the next week or so? Nah. Realistically, that would be too much to hope for.
