Which Revolutions to Support?

By Robert Ringer - Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Interesting that the presidential pretender in the White House supported the revolution in Egypt that overthrew one of America’s staunchest allies, Hosni Mubarak.

Also interesting that he supported the revolution to overthrow Muammar Qaddafi in Libya, though Qaddafi certainly was no friend of the United States.

And, most interesting of all, he did not utter a word in support of the popular uprising against Muttonchops Ahmadinejad and the mullahs in Iran.

So, what sense can we make of all this?  How does BHO, a paragon of wisdom and goodwill, decide which revolutions to support and which ones to ignore?

Anyone who has studied Barack Obama’s past actions and words knows the answer to that question:  He favors anything that promotes the formation of Islamic nation-states or embraces communism, socialism, or any other kind of redistribution-of-wealth system, while turning a blind eye to anything that is anti-American, anti-Judeo-Christian, or anti-capitalism.

Which is why BHO must be giddy with excitement now that Libya’s “interim leader,” Mustafa Abdel Jalil, has announced that Libya will be an Islamic state and Sharia will be the law of the land.  Ditto with Egypt, where, throughout the “democratic” Arab Spring revolution, it was clear that the country was headed into the arms of the Muslim Brotherhood and/or a military dictatorship.  With luck, Egyptians may end up getting both.

All of which raises the question:  Other than those who are hard-core communists, socialists, or outright supporters of radical Islam, wouldn’t it be interesting to study the thought patterns of those included in the 41 percent who still give Barack Obama a positive approval rating?  Perhaps it’s nothing more than a simple case of ignorance is bliss, but it won’t be so blissful if it helps get the presidential pretender in the White House reelected.

Right on. Unfortunately there is much truth in the old adage “People get the government they deserve.”
