Our President: Patriotic, Tough, and Decisive
By Robert Ringer - Saturday, October 1, 2011
The killing of Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen, which supposedly was ordered by Barack Obama himself, is sure to confuse a lot of people who have abandoned, or were on the verge of abandoning, our fearless leader. Obama, of course, was quick to put an exclamation mark on the killing by saying that al-Awlaki’s death was a major blow to al-Qaeda.
Sure enough, today someone asked me, “How can anyone think Barack Obama is anti-American if he’s now ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki?”
At the risk of being redundant, let me once again explain. Yesterday I said that BHO is someone who will say or do anything, anytime, anywhere, to anybody in order to achieve his ends. I meant those words literally.
It’s very difficult for many people — i.e., normal people — to comprehend the left’s ends-justifies-the-means thinking. The reason Obama was the perfect person to finish off the job of eliminating the Constitution and putting an end to what is left of our capitalist system is not only that he’s a true-believing Marxist, but he possesses three other invaluable revolutionary traits: arrogance, narcissism, and soullessness.
Obama may or may not be sympathetic to Islamic terrorists, but, either way, the point is that it’s irrelevant. A person who is arrogant, narcissistic, and soulless — especially if he’s a true believer — has no qualms about taking out anybody, be he friend or foe, if it will advance his cause. After all, such a person bases his actions on what he perceives to be “the greater good.”
You can expect more of these “patriotic” purges between now and the 2012 elections, always with an emphasis on how our firm, decisive president “gave the order.” Such incidents (and, more important, the attendant publicity they bring with them) accomplish two objectives.
First, they help convince people that Barack Obama is patriotic and tough in tracking down our enemies. Second, they divert people’s attention from his primary focus, which is finishing the job of transforming America from a once-proud capitalist country into a spread-the-wealth “social justice” country by totally destroying our economy and getting as many voters as possible beholden to the agenda of the far left.
Don’t allow yourself to be one of the millions of people who are sure to be taken in by these sideshows. In fact, be prepared for even more impressive pro-Obama happenings in the coming months.
Dick Morris’ belief that Obama might voluntarily step aside because of his sagging poll numbers is a pipe dream. Obama has every reason to feel confident he can win again. After all, none other than Republican Congressman Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, called the al-Awlaki killing “a great success in our fight against al-Qaeda” and “a tremendous tribute to President Obama and the men and women of our intelligence community.”
In doing so, King violated one of Saul Alinsky’s most cherished rules: Never give the enemy credit for anything. But, then, if Republicans didn’t fall into traps like this, they wouldn’t be Republicans. You do remember George Bush and “compassionate conservatism,” don’t you? The more things change …

Robert, you continue to impress me. Your analysis of Obama’s motivations and goals is unlike anything else I have read, and I think you are absolutely correct.
I don’t know which smells and looks more rotten, Obama’s birth certificate or the apparent killing of Anwar al-Awlaki. I say apparent killing because this is now what?—the fifth or sixth time that he’s been killed?
U.S. citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, who studied extensively in the U.S., “earning a bachelors in engineering from Colorado State University and a masters in education leadership from San Diego State University,” probably was— or maybe still is— a controlled CIA asset.
Even the propagandizing bobbleheads at CBS News reported that Anwar al-Awlaki had had high level meetings at the Pentagon.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Anwar al-Awlaki is either currently living the high life on some remote island or that he was executed years ago along with Osama bin Laden.
And, of course, there they go again sending up “trial balloons,” testing the limits of the Constitution and setting new precedents regarding the assassination of an American citizen, i.e. Anwar al-Awlaki.
No trial, no jury and no verdict. No proof whatsoever has been offered up against a U.S. citizen who has just been, supposedly, assassinated.
The proof of guilt is all top secrete.
I can see where all this is going, can you?
It is sad the short memory many have. HMMMM, lets see, 911, thousands killed. Terrorists attacks every where. Al Queda boasting. Leaders of Al Queda, Bin Laden,Anwar al-Awlaki, and others out of power now. President Bush begining a war on “hypothetical info” that turned out to be false. President Bush attempting to do what President Obama is now taking care of. I was once a staunch Republican. I saw, over 50 years, that the middle class and poor did poorly during Republican control. Not everyone can be one of the few “rich ones”. I saw that at the end of the run of President Reagon and President Bush senior, It took President Bill Clinton working with both democrats and republicans to bring this country out of the regressive policies that republicans put our country in, to bring prosperity back. Now after failed policies of the President W. Bush administration, and this country on the verge of a total economic collaspe, policies of President Obama are slowly paying off. Remember that the “Big Bail Outs” were started by President W. Bush, before he left office. I don’t agree with the “ramming of health care down our throats by the democrats as being responsible, as the passing of some bill by both parties would have been widely accepted. My point is party politics suck! Lobyist should be outlawed. Entities that attack and threaten innocent people should be dealt with. I belive our country needs patriotic leaders who will work across all party lines, period. I am disappointed in the direction many politicians are going, and that is “Doing what is in their own personal interest first” and doing the job their elected to second.
“Aww, shucks: another terrorist leader dead”……..Glenn Beck on Anwar al-Awlaki
http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/09/30/aww-shucks-another-terrorist-leader-dead/
Here we have on the one hand, Glenn Beck; A man-clown who is a talented entertainer, albeit an ex-drunk, ex-rodeo clown, ex-Fox News show host, i.e. a bobblehead in training. Yes, here’s somebody who, in my opinion, is completely wasting his talent by looking more and more like a complete joke when he attacks Ron Paul over Paul’s well thought-out Libertarian principles.
Poor Glenn, he has apparently recovered from alcoholism, but not the greater and more dangerous addiction of religious based patriotism. On the subjects of economics(specifically banking), politics, national defense(specifically the CIA), terrorism and foreign affairs Glenn Beck is a true lightweight. Moreover, Glenn is testament to how ignorant amerikans really are that they would use him as a definitive source of information, commentary and opinion on the aforementioned subjects.
Glenn Beck is about the intellectual equivalent of Suzi Orman or Dave Ramsey; and if his mind remains clouded by collectivist religion and patriotism, then Glenn will always remain little more than a clown.
Now, on the other hand, contrast Glenn’s lightweight, clownish commentary with that of a genuine intellectual heavyweight; namely, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts.
Is it and wonder that amerika is in such bad shape when you have the likes of Glenn Beck ( a man whom I’ve really tried to support) looked upon as some kind of source for insightful information? It’s like the blind leading the blind……..
The following is Dr. Roberts’ article regarding the subjects in question:
http://lewrockwell.com/roberts/roberts327.html
Aww, shucks, Glenn! After reading some really thoughtful analyses and extrapolation by Dr. Paul, could you please forgive me if I don’t waste my money subscribing to your ill thought out joke-of-a-show?
amerikans?
Some of the responses to this blog appear to be seminar bloggers. This classic Russian spelling is a tip off. One of the writers above claims to be a Republican who has gone over to Obama. Not likely!!
One can oppose the Republicans, but it would have to be that Republicans are liberal lite, not that they don’t compromise with the progressives.
Recall during the presidential campaign that a lot of us were asking, actually whispering, because we didn’t want to be accused of racism or some phobia, “Is this guy a socialist, or what?” Some us were convinced from the get go that the guy was a closet Marxist. You’ve got to hand it to Ringer and Beck. They’re the first legitimate public voices to cut to the chase.
Perhaps the best mode of defense ( or is it “attack”?) is to learn Saul Alinsky’s rules of engagement so well, you can use them right back at Obama & friends( with different slogans of course revised to fit the new job). If Alinsky can work for revolution, then why can’t his techniques be thrown right back at him and his followers to stop it?
Who says the Left is Peter King’s “enemy?”
My God we have some spiteful, hypocritical clowns in here when the phrase “Religious-based patriotism” is used in a pejorative sense. Dammit, these eight-balls from the Kremlin via Rio Linda have to know that “Religious-based patriotism” is what carried our Revolutionary War for independence and freedom to its successful conclusion.
Lying, misrepresentation, obfuscation and the frenzied immoralization of our nation and social culture are the malignant, cancerous enemy from within. We are surrounded by the Leftist barnyard mental and spiritual slime and sludge.
“God does not make cowardly nations free.” — Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf
“Lying, misrepresentation, obfuscation and the frenzied immoralization of our nation and social culture [i.e. our religion] are the malignant, cancerous enemy from within .”……Quote by أنور العولقي Anwar al-Aulaqi from Yemen…….ooops, I mean quote by Robby Bonfire from amerika.
Message to all the religious zealots who suffer from religiously based patriotism: If we could only end the belief in religion without ending the belief in God, then humankind could better serve both God and itself.
By the way, religiously based patriotism was not what carried “our” war for independence against the anointed King of England and the sanctimonious Church of England to it’s successful conclusion. No, like Beck, you have it backwards, RB. And, your self-righteousness, dogmatic mentality plays right into the hands of The Military Industrial Complex.
Hey everybody! The Neocon war-mongers need more cannon-fodder, so all you true believers(zealots) out there just keep on praising god and passing the ammunition on your way to signing up.
“Gott Mit Uns” (God is with us) appeared on many Nazi soldiers belt buckles during WWII. I propose that amerikans, should now do the same with all military-issued belt-buckles so that the war on terror “can be carried to its successful conclusion.”
“the victors write the history.” well, they write the stuff that property tax buys to stuff the victors “schools” with.
i.e., those victors words are received history, much the same as troublesome & noisome tribal rituals – including massive blood sacrifice – are revealed religions.
revealed to, received by, whom? the propagandized. the manipulatees.
that last word isn’t. but it does alliterate well with “manatee”, which is a corpulent, aquatic, bovine looking creature. aqueous, as in the womb, bovines…that is a marvelous conjunction, I think.
to be, or not to be, a manatee: that is the question.
or manitou. another nice alliteration. that’s the algonquian boogeyman. the tribal template always has a manitou to feed the manipulatees….(btw, manitou allied with the french christians, and the iroquois’ flavor laced with the brit christians during the french & indian wars, but, as you probably know, the manipulators screwed the natives, all of them…).
robby, you lean on received history. when someone contradicts what you “know”, gustatorily – it tasted pretty good and you swallowed – instead of looking into it, you call for expulsion. that’s at least part of what rs refers to as regards your religious patriotism.
and I will tell you that compounding a bad bet (take your pick, religion or patriotism), by doubling down with the other bad bet, is a no-no. you tried trading currencies, didn’t you? that arena will find the real you, real quick, and compound contradictions will take you right out of that gene pool – cuz there ain’t no subsidies there (unless you’re goldman sachs, etc)…..
Val, you said, “Entities that attack and threaten innocent people should be dealt with.” So, what do you propose we ought to do about the US government? Do they not attack and threaten us each and every day?
In regards to this “alleged” execution of an American citizen, I call BS. During the 30′s and into the early 40′s, how many German immigrants answered the call and returned to defend the Fatherland and were subsequently killed on the battlefields of Europe? No one raised a stink about that.
I think this towlie got exactly what he deserved, whether he was specifically hunted or just happened to be in the group when the drone showed up. He gave up his right to American citizenship the day he committed his first act of treason.
I think it’s too bad that no one had the stones to do something similar when Hanoi Jane was in N Viet Nam tickling commies on their nut sacks.
Oh God, now it’s down to “defending one’s nation and/or establishing a nation based upon freedom from the yoke of despotic foreign rule,” is now just “sucking up to the Military Industrial Complex,” which was a term coined by Eisenhower in 1961, just prior to the Valley Forge-related skirmishes for our independence, but who and what is to quibble over a credibility gap of merely 185 years, and the quoting, by an Iron Curtain “Better Red or you’re Dead” type of a Republican president?
Tell you what, when Leftist eggheads are reduced to using terms coined by Republican presidents as part of their “intelletual arsenal” they have lost the battle for men’s minds and on the brink of political extinction.
This is bizarre, I see this laser-beamed Anwar guy obtained degrees from both Colorado State University, and San Diego State University. Both schools are members of the Mountain West Conference and play eachother in football and other sports. So that one must ask if this conference should be dismantled as a national security risk and den of subversive iniquity, in the interest of “Keeping America Strong?”
Is Ron Paul a political “Serial Killer?” His latest outrage, being upset that the military drone dropped on the #1 terrorist in the world, was done without benefit of trial. Mind you, this dirtbag was calling for, and training terrorists to kill Americans by the millions, regardless of where he was born. Ooooffaa!
I say he’s like a serial killer, along the lines of John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy, for this reason:
He’s perfectly normal 98% of the time, but that other 2%? Look out! And also, this is a guy who calls for open borders, too.
And this letter is coming from a guy who donated money to his campaign. Twice. I’m done.
Robert,
You are mostly correct on the voluntary tax thing. I tell people that the lotteries are the only fair tax system. They are completely voluntary and people line up to donate.
If you decide to not donate gun toting thugs dressed up in their Sunday best storm trooper uniforms don’t come crashing through your doors and destroy your home in the dead of night.
I agree with you, The Resolute Voice. Your comment is music to my soul. I think you have the right answer in combatting Saul Alinsky tactics. I continuously see BHO using Alinski tactics successfully on his targets, and yet, many people are unaware of what is happening as they fall victims under BHO’s anti American strategy. Raising consiousness is key to combatting and dissolving BHO’s Alinski tactics. I don’t understand why all the GOP candidates are not using this as a major strategy in exposing BHO and hopefully bringing his regime to termination when more citizens realize what is happening. It seems to me that Robert Ringer’s occasional comments about BHO using SA tactics, are lonely cries from the darkness. I wish more would join RR in bringing light on this subject.
I think the state always needs an enemy, real or perceived, in order to mobilize the people. Once mobilized, they are further motivated with religion, song, the colors and parades…whatever it takes.
Free people question and challenge power and hold accountable those who are given authority over others. The indentured and serfs seldom question and they quake when in the presence of power and authority.
I’m informed that God is the author of liberty. Religion, a creation of man is antithetical to liberty.
