More Cain Attacks on the Way

By Robert Ringer - Wednesday, November 2, 2011

By now you’ve undoubtedly heard more about the Herman Cain “sexual-harassment” non-event than you probably wanted to know, so no sense in my going into the details.  What I do want to comment on, however, is the big picture, which the media usually misses in their zealous quest to find sleaze nuggets in the mud.

The big picture is this:  If Cain continues to light up the scoreboard, which I have already predicted he will, there will be many more unsubstantiated, outrageous attacks on his character and his track record.  Count on it.

Cain was right on when he told Fox News’s Jenna Lee that “If more allegations come, I assure you, people will simply make them up.  The only other allegations will be trumped-up allegations.  There’s nothing else.”

As Cain continues to look more and more like a serious challenger for the Republican nomination, rest assured people will make things up.  And who will be behind the coming trumped-up allegations?  The two most logical sources, of course:  (1) the starting-to-get-very-nervous Romney camp and (2) an increasingly panicked Obama camp that is in danger of losing its beloved race card.

Am I insinuating that Obama and Romney backers would pay off people to lie about Herman Cain?  Yes, of course I am!  How’s that for being politically incorrect?

Until Cain came along, Romney was doing an excellent job of running out the clock toward his inevitable anointment.  And until recently it undoubtedly didn’t occur to BHO, who has been watching the Republican circus from a safe distance, that Herman Cain could actually win the Republican nomination.

When it comes to money, it’s not hard to find people who are more than happy to sell their souls, and anyone who thinks otherwise is naïve.  Now let’s all sit back and wait for the next unsubstantiated smear against Herman Cain.

Things could get very ugly if he doesn’t stop scaring the establishment on both the right and left.  Some people just don’t know their place.
