More B.S. from the Master of Doublethink

By Robert Ringer - Wednesday, February 15, 2012

So now the Duplicitous Despot wants us to believe, without a trace of a smile, that raising taxes is the same as a spending cut.  At his latest campaign gig, at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia, the shameless one touted his new tax and spend ideas, which he euphemistically refers to as his 2013 “budget proposal.”

Dazzling the awed kids in the crowd, Obama insisted that the “Bush tax cuts” — euphemism for current tax rates — are a form of government spending.  Or, the corollary, that raising taxes is a way of cutting spending.  While it sounds absurd, I will give BHO the benefit of the doubt and assume he knows full well that raising taxes is the exact opposite of cutting spending.  In truth, the more you raise taxes, the more the government can avoid making actual spending cuts.

Of course, that’s only in theory.  In reality, it’s much worse than that, because no matter how much money the government extracts from taxpayers, it will always find more and worse ways to spend its additional ill-gotten gains.  The one thing we can always count on, no matter who is in office, is that no money will ever be spent on reducing the deficit.  Forget it — it’s not going to happen.

On top of his cutesy claim that cutting taxes is a form of spending, Obama further insists he is cutting an additional $800 billion or so from the budget as a result of ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Cute, yes, but not very clever.  What such far-left leg-pulling really means is that the Democrats are not willing to make any real cuts to any program.  After all, we’ve got to keep funding those cowboy poetry festivals and congressional junkets.

As the presidential pretender in the Oval Office increases his efforts to paint both America’s balance sheet and its ideology red, the question is, will enough voters buy into his divisive spread-the-wealth rhetoric to keep him in office?

The Marxmeister believes the answer to that question is yes, and that he can pull it off by putting together a coalition of those who actually want a socialist dictatorship that distributes wealth equally, those who are totally devoid of knowledge or an interest in anything unrelated to sports, show business, or electronic gadgets, those who are incurably gullible, and those whose comatose brains make it impossible for them to learn the lessons of history — even history as recent as 2007 through yesterday.

These groups have emboldened the only president in U.S. history whose intent has been to destroy America’s economy and the fabric of its Western way of life to ramp up his doublethink rhetoric to the masses.  In 1984, George Orwell explained doublethink as “not saying the opposite of what one thinks, but thinking the opposite of what is true.”

Don’t laugh.  Thus far, Obama’s success in getting tens of millions of voters to think the opposite of what is true has been nothing short of remarkable, so you can expect much more of the same as we move ever closer to next November.  Poppa Barack, proud communist that he was, would have been impressed.

  1. As usual a great commentary – unfortunately the reason for this piece is cause for great concern – why & how this POTUS can so blatantly continue to twist & lie with total dis-regard for even the faintest amount of truth & with the majority of the media suporting & defending these comments – makes one wonder what it will take for the people to wake up – realize what is happening & take appropiate action in November to remedy this situation – hopefully sooner than later

  2. The Resolute Voice says:

In 1984, George Orwell explained doublethink as “not saying the opposite of what one thinks, but thinking the opposite of what is true.” Doublethink is also saying what one wants others to believe is actually true, whether it is or not without thinking.

Too bad that most of Obama’s dazzle-eyed admirers never read 1984 or much of any other history either. They are ripe for indoctrination by the “Right One.”

  3. Paul says:

How long before we have to forcibly hold this “woman” down and take away her credit cards?

If Captain Zero gets another 4 years, thanks to the mindless mouth-breathers like Samuel Jackson, who will vote for him simply because of his race, I think things may get ugly very quickly.

    I’m ready, are you?

  4. Pete DiOrio says:

JUST THINKING… No self-respecting Marxist (collectivist), including non-self-respecting, shamelessly dishonest politicians (statists), would deny their objective of doing away with or replacing the U.S.Constitution, . Is not treason at play here? Is there an army of traitors among us? In all seriousness, what was the original idea behind militias?

    • Dawg em says:

Of course treason is at play. And saying so has caused certain members of that cabal to place you and me and anyone else who says so, on a “list”. One problem, though, is the mindset of many who believe only people with a ‘D’ after theirs names belongs in that group.

There are two wings to this rotten bird of prey.

  5. devereaux says:

The Obama machine is moving us in a very straight line toward a kind of congruity between Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World…

I don’t want to see my future that way at all…see my essay (written in response to an Occupy group member inviting me to their new world)…

    http://devereauxdailydose.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-dont-want-your-new-free-worldit-is.html

…and maybe see it as a warning that the future that we want, with freedom and respect, is rapidly being stolen by the left and their charge is led by the Deceiver-in-Chief!

    • reunion says:

whatever the original idea was, infiltration, co-opting, and putting up to false flag ops has long since become the new idea. lew rockwell recently interviewed (podcast) the brother of a man who was roped into the outfit that was involved in ok city. extended-murdered him, right in his cell, they did…..

      • Dawg em says:

I’m surprised the feds sought permission to incinerate the evidence of their crime. I would have thought they’d make him disappear, just like the video tape of that fateful day.

    • reunion says:

      “the left did it”…

the one-armed man did do it (but that was a movie)….

  6. Ron G says:

You are so right this regime is doing everything in it’s power to
destroy and fundamentally change this great country into a cesspool. Everything we have thought as righteous is now incredibility evil.

  7. Common Sense says:

I have a hard time believing even community college students would fall for this “doublethink”.

    • Erato says:

Even some of us high school drop-outs know better… in fact, being less ‘educated’ and all, we weren’t smart enough to fall for it in the first place.

  8. PitBull says:

“Curiously enough it is not the triumphs of modem engineering, nor the radio, nor the cinematograph, nor the five thousand novels which are published yearly, nor the crowds at Ascot and the Eton and Harrow match, but the memory of working-class interiors–especially as I sometimes saw them in my childhood before the war, when England was still prosperous– that reminds me that our age has not been altogether a bad one to live in.” From Ch. 7, “The Road to Wigan Pier,” by G. Orwell. Why do I get chills down my spine reading this, if for no other reason that many of us of the ‘boomer generation’ may be ‘reminded’ that we are, indeed, seeing the last of a great age.

  9. topeka says:

    very good blog Robert,

  10. Jurgy says:

If the Gov’t has the ability to print money whenever it sees fit, why is there a national debt or Federal taxes? Obviously, debt and taxes have another purpose …

  11. BelleRiverRunner says:

The democrats have been using double speak for the past couple of decades. Only Obama has made it so eloquent as to foist it as “common sense” thinking and make it mainstream!!!

Whereas the republican establishment (non-Tea Party types) has resorted to speaking like Neanderthals to get their message across.

Our own list of great speakers are marginalized as “radical right wing nuts”.

Some notables are: Alan Keyes, Ms. Mulkin, Dr. Savage, Thomas Sewell, Rush Limbaugh and even Robert Ringer to name just a few of the dozens of talented conservative speakers and writers.

The truth however, is like a small tree in the forest of huge lies. It will not die out because the truth will always endure.

  12. Dawg em says:

I disagree that his con of voters is “remarkable”. The pliant masses have been in the petri dish splasjing around the nutrient agar of socialism for some time. His elevation is the culmination of a mad social experiment that has failed numerous times, yet the self-deluded narcissists believe they can make it work this time.

No, Obama is a telepromter-reading moron who has benefited from the ideology of affirmative action. Period.
