Jihad Jane and Those Scary Republicans
By Robert Ringer - Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Jihad Jane Fonda recently told CNN’s Piers Morgan that the current crop of Republican candidates scare her. Maybe there’s still hope that Jane and I will come together in our later years, because the current crop of Republican candidates scares me as well — but for different reasons.
Ms. Fonda, the one-time favorite pinup girl of every red-blooded Vietcong soldier, went on to say, “I’m worried about anybody getting elected to office who says we have to do away with or privatize social security, we have to reduce medical health insurance, we have to not raise taxes. And, oh, there’s no problem with the environment, this is all made up by the left, the scientists don’t really know what they’re talking about. This worries me.”
So much for Jane and I having a senior meeting of the minds, unless she undergoes a successful brain transplant. Sorry, Jane, but I’m one of those scary guys who:
- Wants to see Social Security privatized and made optional.
- Wants to eliminate all government involvement in healthcare.
- Wants to see all taxes collected only on a voluntary basis.
- Believes that climate change is perhaps the biggest left-wing scam ever perpetrated on the American people. And, oh, by the way, Jane, thousands of highly respected scientists agree with me — and many of the leading scientists who have pushed global warming the hardest have been caught plotting to skew the data in favor of their cause.
I’m not being sarcastic when I say that I feel genuinely sorry for the once-relevant Hollywood beauty, Jane Fonda. Not many children of cinema stars as big as Henry Fonda grow up without a lot of screws loosened in their gray matter, so compassion calls for cutting her some slack.
Remember, this is a woman who spent her most glamorous years (according to her own written accounts) soliciting other females to engage in threesomes with at least two of her (ex-) husbands — including her Ayers-like second hubby, bomb-thrower Tom Hayden. After such pornographic relationships, her ten-year marriage to uber-left billionaire Ted Turner seemed almost mainstream.
In any event, Jane, let me put your mind at ease. With just a couple of exceptions, if one of those scary Republicans you’re so worried about is our next president, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that he will not do any of the things you say you’re most concerned about. In fact, the empirical evidence suggests that you’re unlikely to even notice that your beloved Barack is no longer around.

He “wants to see all taxes collected only on a voluntary basis.”
Love it!
This is the silver bullet fired through the heart of collectivism. This is the wooden stake driven down into the very heart where it belongs leaving the vampirical progressive without sustenance. This is the beloved holy water of libertarianism. It should have been written down in the Bible as the Eleventh Commandment and recopied down into the Bill of Rights.
It’s still not too late to embrace a voluntary tax, a gold standard and free market capitalism; thus, sending the communists and their collectivist sympathizers ( e.g. Fonda) to search elsewhere for blood to suck.
Ron Paul 2012
Technically, according to the tax code, it already is a voluntary system. Yeah, right. Try telling that to the IRS and the tax courts.
only if there’s such a thing as a euphemism technician…lol
Hanoi Jane is the poster girl of dumb blonds. What an airhead! And it wasn’t because she was Henry Fonda’s child, he did the best he could do, but stupid is as stupid does, said Forest Gump.
I remember back in the early 80′s standing near Jane Fonda and listening to her speach and feeling very angry that this woman was allowed to even exist on American soil let alone become even richer with her stupid workout videos. Then, after listening to the crowds applause and adulation, (mostly women), I realized what fueled this women’s ego for so long. It was the women of the U.S.and world who allowed this beast to prosper and pontificate to the American people. These people would probably applaud a Jane Fonda fart. How sad for our country when we have women favoring leftists like Jane Fonda and Bill Clinton and other clueless celebrities.
It amazes me that some of the most vocal wealth redistributionists are among the wealthier class. Maybe it would be easier to take them seriously if they first gave all their assets to the government for redistribution. On second thought, it would never be easy to take wealth redistribution seriously.
In regards to the income tax being voluntary, I’d go a step further and have it be so the IRS collected the tax by standing in front of stores a few days a year, prior to April 15th, with red buckets and ringing bells.
Then, force the government to survive on exactly what they collect. When the money runs out, the spending stops. What a novel concept.
I lost family and dear friends because of that hanoi b____…. remember to NEVER forget!
Amen Mr. Ringer.
What is frustrating is that these hate-mongerers are taken seriously.
Ms. Fonda should be counted with Tokyo Rose as a supporter of war, violence, mass starvation, mass-rape, terrorism, genocide, just to name a few items.
As an enemy of real wealth distribution (aka wealth creation), and a friend of all thinks destructive, she is not worthy to receive the benefits of civilization, much less the adulation and praise she receives.
I am not interested in cutting her any slack. Most killers, murderers, thieves, etc. have suffered through childhood, and many suffer mental illness. So what? So do most of the non-violent population!
Fonda is nothing more than the dumb blond of hate. Her continued influence illustrates how “scary” the situation really is. Given half a chance, her ilk would have us up to our eyeballs in Gulags and crematories.
Just sayin…
AS A RETIRED MARINE , I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE PAYES ANY ATTENTION TO WHAT HANOI JANE DOES .AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED SHE HAS BEN DEAD A LONG TIME .
I thought Fonda was a red-head.
Sir, Jane Fonda is not a red head, She is red all-over
dear right again robert:
i agree that jane is not likeable in her politics but I have been amazed at her reported wealth/sales skills/success near 1 billion! workout videos, acting,
different endorsements and business…married to ted turner..for a while….apparently much of her action, ability are intelligent and powerful enough to overcome her silly politics which appears to be more of a hobby these days…..her bio is worthy of study….
as an actress we are at a disadvantage in figuring out the real jane..looking at her acting roles….which is the art of faking it and fooling people…which she is good at….lucky for the usa it was the actor ronald reagan a genuine patriot who chose politics as a vocation and not jane…
speaking of euphemisms….
SS is theft. i do not want it privatized. i want it stopped.
healthcare, because it is cartelized, is a more sophisticated, elongated (as in gauntlet), “profitable” blood-letting (which is how the docs probably did in george gashington). by all means, gov out…but of all of it. no cartels.
voluntary tax is an oxymoron (although there are non-canceling words to describe people who will voluntarily step on tacks…). prices. transactions. goods/services bought/sold, rents, leases, user fees. no theft or extortion (taxes).
climate change…well, if you can make war on terror (a tactic), and drugs (arbitrarily), cancer (perpetually…cartels are motion machines without planned obsolescence, which is wholly reserved for the “patients” – another euphemism), then weather isn’t much of a stretch. recall when the sun went all mr.hyde on us? that melanoma demon.
just remember the hockey stick graph (fraud) and then try to remember, or realize, that all the various cartelistas have been whanging your heads with hockey sticks your entire lives, your parent’s entire lives, their parents, back, back, back…the genealogy of graft – in both senses, the parasites who graft into healthy people and the wealth they graft from them – makes the human family tree appear much denser, bushier, than it is or should be, overgrown with mistletoe, fungi, & moss as it is.
as for the various sentiments along lines of being allowed to exist, etc…first, that is a wrong call. any fool can say anything they want. recourse, the only recourse, is a better argument. win, lose, draw – there are no entitlements in debate, there are only earnings. and learnings.
second, and by far the larger debit, is that fools – or even sages – have access to “the pretty” (tolkien’s ring). were it not for that, a lot fewer people would have ever cared what jane fonda said. whoever the swiss jane fonda is probably never said anything about vietnam, as she was contentedly busy minding her own business.
“gashington”? gashed washington? lol…be nice to get an edit button/feature in here…….
Reunion, I begin to wonder if much of which you write isn’t to provoke an actual coherent string of thought process you can attach yourself to and glom onto as your own when it does indeed appear decipherable and relevant, which I am disappointed to discover after further study to discover that much IS incoherent, (not, as you suggest, your refusal to “lower” your eloquence to my obviously inferior intellect. However, the crude mixture of fatalism, reworked anarchism and nihilism isn’t where I want to go. Granted, the enemies are great and as far as the eye can see, a logical argument that they doom themselves to the bullets and bombs of a much greater enemy, the ones who actually control the means of production, control the stockpiles to “incentivize” the greater production of even more stockpiles, their little circuses along the ports, in the parks of NYC and St. Louis, Madison, WI, etc. tolerated to create with their own thought, muscle even a partially ingrained philosophy (some may call it “work”) that they can’t get absolutely everything they want for absolutely nothing! They HAVE to do something, as the bulk of 99% show when the abandon the protest to get back to work! Somewhere in the median of John Galt’s answer and all out civil war against those suffering with “cognitive dissonance” is the answer, though even under the most respectable of rules for this coming battle, MILLIONS will die.
sigh…appears my compliment (next piece over) was premature). if you want to engage me, james, point to whatever you find objectionable; be specific.
from what you’ve written here, my take now is that dyslexia might be in the mix, but since that has already been dealt with, your intellect, etc, but you’re bringing it up again, ignoring what i’ve already said, that ocd is part of the recipe, too. also a whistling optimism (which can also be compulsive, i’ve discovered); that’s “not where you want to go” as versus going where the facts, ineluctable logic, lead. reality is wholly indifferent to where you’d prefer to go. so am i.
Republicans err because they are intimidated through political correctness to fight the Democrats on their initial assumptions. They debate about the symptoms as if the underlying premises did not exist. They need to keep their face. Macho Boys really have just as low of a self-esteem as Wimps do. They just act tough to save face, but are just as cowardly, and afraid to speak bluntly, and call a spade a spade, in private. That is why they keep losing ground, and what was once progressive foolishness becomes traditional foolishness. But this initimidatedness to boldly dispute the premises I have found in your work as well.
repubs err simply by being repubs; same as all the other partiers. conservatism and cowardliness do go together; but also, relatedly, thrumming insecurity that never seems to be quelled, and its mirror image, avarice/greed.
for a mind-blowing new perspective on the Fed and taxation, how about an author who is praised effusively by J.K. Galbraith, and yet who co-wrote a book with Art Laffer. Yet his vision of “progressive” prosperity is to the Left (if that even makes sense) of Kucinich.
Here goes: Warren Mosler, major futures trader who has “schooled” people as diverse as Al Gore and Larry Summers.
Seven Deadly Innocent (?) Frauds of Economic Policy
paraphrased, as best as I can
1. The Fed/Treasury can create as much money as it wants. No really. Even gold-bugs on his site had to agree.
1a. This is not inflationary when spent into the real economy, up to the point of “full production”. Opposed to idleness and waste of talent. Opposed to mass unemployment..
2. Tax revenue (federal) is not necessary for spending. CUT TAXES. Including FICA. Money collected from taxes is destroyed.
3. Taxes are not necessary for social security, except for political reasons. FICA is fiction, known for decades.
4. The “national debt” consists of various savings accts at the Fed. This is a “debt” like your savings acct is a “liability” that your bank owes you. The national debt is a spreadsheet entry.
5. Deficit spending ADDS money to aggregate private financial assets. Budget surpluses REDUCES private financial assets. This encourages private sector debt (Clinton-Bush bubbles) or directly causes poverty. This is called an “accounting identity”, related to double-entry bookkeeping.
Where’s the cartoons by Hank?
Hanoi Jane, poster girl for all dumb blond jokes, is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans. At the time she did her photo op poised on a Vietcong cannon the North Vietnamese were on the brink of giving up. But her idiotic rant gave the NVA the morale boost they needed to continue fighting. And her dumbness cannot be attributed to being the daughter of a Hollywood icon, Henry Fonda. Henry sent her to the best schools, kept her in everything that she needed. While away from home working he sent her letters with drawings and told her good things. Yet, all you hear from her and her brother Peter is whining about how Henry never said he loved them. Moonshine. He did all that he could do and more. He proved his love by his actions. It wasn’t his fault that Hanoi Jane grew up to be Hanoi Jane.
