Is Cain the Antidote to Obama’s Deception?

By Robert Ringer - Friday, September 30, 2011

Yesterday I said that if by next spring or summer the polls show that Obama and congressional Democrats are going down to defeat, we should be on the lookout for a phony crisis that could be used as an excuse for a state of emergency and suspension of the 2012 elections.

But in his Wall Street Journal editorial yesterday, Karl Rove offered another view of what Obama might do down the road — perhaps as late as next fall.  I agree with Rove that BHO is now trying to re-energize his far-left base by offering them “red meat.”  I also agree with him that his rhetoric is alienating swing voters.

Rove believes that once BHO has shored up his base, he will again try to fool independents by creating the illusion that he is moving toward the center. Rove doesn’t believe this strategy will work, but with Obama’s favorability ratings still in the mid-forties in most polls, it would be unwise to sell him short when it comes to cunning.

Remember, this is a man who has learned well the ends-justifies-the-means strategy set forth by leftist heavyweights from Marx to Lenin to Alinsky, and he possesses one quality that guarantees he will never go out with a whimper like Jimmy Carter:  incredible gall.  BHO is someone who will say or do anything, anytime, anywhere, to anybody, in order to achieve his ends.  He is an expert at his chosen craft — deception.

Karl Rove is also right when he says that Obama “is providing an embarrassment of riches for GOP ad makers.”  But the question is, will Republicans have the courage to slam Obama, or will they continue to be intimidated by the far left’s First Black President Rule:  If you criticize America’s first black president, you are a hateful racist.  Sadly, the reality is that millions of people still adhere to this mother of all divisive rules.

But the antidote to all this may now be making its appearance.  The antidote I am referring to is called Herman Cain. I cannot imagine how Obama would attempt to combat a conservative black businessman who not only is a proven job creator, but is as laid back and congenial as Obama is uptight and nasty.  Whatever else you may think of Cain, he is a likable and compelling character.

Now, according to a new Fox News poll, Cain is only six points behind leader Mitt Romney in the GOP nomination race.  The rise of Herman Cain makes the next Republican debate, on October 11 at Dartmouth College, a date to mark on your calendar.  Of course, it could turn out to be a dud for Cain, but it also could turn out to be a historic day in American political history.  Definitely worth watching.

Before I comment on Herman Cain ( aka Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown) I want to post something I wrote into the Maui News back on 08/02/2008 regarding then candidate Obama.

Keep in mind that back then, during the fervor of the Obama election campaign—especially in Hawaii— there was no greater sin than pointing out the truth about Obama and what fools people were for believing that Obama would change anything for the better.

Right after I posted the following article on The Maui News’ Website, I was then called every name in the book and even challenged to fight. Frankly, I see the same type of ignorance desplayed by some of those who now believe in Cain: The God Father.

08/02/2008: “Here he comes, the new savior of Europe, America, and yes, the entire world. It’s The Messiah himself; look, this must be the second coming of Christ, Allah, and Buddha all rolled into one. “Yes we can, yes we can, yes we can” is the new Gregorian chant of the faithful. Yes we can be his followers—- believe it, ye with little faith. Woe to those who have little faith in Barack the Christ for they will be thrown outside, and there is where their weeping and the gnashing of their teeth will be.

Barack Obama (aka Jesus Christ Super Star) wants you and me to be his followers. “Yes we can” be part of his flock of sheep.

Listen closely to Barack’s voice inflection next time he gives one of his stump speeches. The discerning ear quickly picks out the sermonizing tone, the Church syllable, and the moralizing note of the man, Barack Obama—the Chosen One. Wonder of wonders! Everybody! Look and listen to Barack’s stump speeches, well, it’s just like hearing a Sermon On The Mount.

Everybody, raise your voice in song. Lets sing Barack’s new Campaign song………..[music]…….. altogether now…… IT’S JESUS CHRIST, THE SUPER STAR, SO WHO IN THE H.E.L.L. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

And the best part of all this is that The Christ has appeared to us as a black man, or almost black. Wow, how fashionable and politically correct is that? Sing: IT’S JESUS CHRIST, THE BLACK SUPER STAR, SO WHO IN THE H.E.L.L DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?”

So that’s what I said back then, because I refused to be suckered in by a phony. I chose to stand in the hated minority then, and I choose it now. So, here we go again I guess, because I won’t be suckered by Cain. Will you?

  2. Almost as troubling as Herman Cain’s chairmanship of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in the 1990s and his refusal to support auditing the Fed, much less abolishing it, as Ron Paul does, is his 9-9-9 proposal. Does anyone who has studied history for more than five minutes believe that, once a VAT or national sales tax is foisted on us, that the income and VAT tax rates would not rise again?.. T

  3. The only worthwhile tax reform is the Liberty Amendment to to abolish the income tax, a plank of the Communist Manifesto, and replace it with nothing, as Ron Paul proposes. For more information, see http://www.libertyamendment.com.

  4. Kandace Ricotta says:

Mr. Cain is a whole different ballgame than BHO. Unlike Obama, he does not appear to have a deceptively hidden past, and it seems that what you see is what you get. He’s definitely NOT another Obama, and if he were to be selected as the GOP candidate, it would be refreshing to have this upstanding, honest natural born citizen pitted against the arrogantly narcissistic, lying Obama! I believe ALL Americans could truly be proud if Herman Cain becomes our President.

    • reunion says:

      “all”, kandace?

like the farm team system in circuses (pro sports), only the “best” make it to the majors. but we’re talking political teams here, which means “best” is an inversion…only scum floats to the pond’s top (paul the anomaly, aside).

instead of uselessly diverting oneself in cheering one bit of coagulated scum or another, far better to ask after the hows/whys of the pond’s stagnancy…cuz there is no scum atop living, moving waters…….

  5. Scott says:

Ah…politics; the art of compromise and ain’t it grand! When handicapping the outcome of a primary or general election, we find ourselves considering whether or not a man’s race would “disarm” the opposition.

The politician’s every move, statement and gesture is choreographed and tested against the litmus of public opinion. Lady Gaga doesn’t even get that level of stage management! How’s the suit, tie, smile, wink, clinched fist…etc., etc.? Am I too black, not black enough, too white, not white enough? And on it goes. In the meantime, we fiddle and rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic of State.

    • reunion says:

      “we”?

      not me, not mine…

me/mine have been swimming laps underwater, like old blue eyes, for years, never leave home w/o our wetsuits, and are ready to spitz blitz it to terra firma as this barge (“titanic” is far too positive a connotation…) reduces itself to flotsam jetsam, lagan, derelict & kindling.

start training. you don’t have to out swim the shark, you just have to out swim those deck chair re-arrangers (exterior decorators?)…

      • Scott says:

Reunion – your prose and insight are outstanding today…I love it.

Of course I was using the “we” somewhat euphemistically as I haven’t yet surrendered my U.S. citizenship as yet…however am seriously considering it, along with other survival options. At the present I find myself on that same ship of state whether I like or not.

        • reunion says:

still here, too, scott…am down in the theater, watching a movie about a dolphin with a prosthetic tail. hmmm…when the credits roll, think i’ll go deckside, see if i can drum up a little business in advance of the swim…lol

          thx…..

  6. Novi56 says:

I became a supporter of Cain back in ’07 (think it was ’07), when he took time to speak to a small Campaign for Liberty group in a remote area of my State. However; about a year ago, I learned of his past employment in the Federal Reserve Bank system and flags have been going up ever since.

He was finally pinned down this week by the group “We Are Change” who forced some answers out of him regarding the FED; and the answers weren’t at all encouraging for the causes of liberty. In short, he supports the FED.

This is quite the chess game the elites are playing. Cain only exists as a candidate in order to counter Ron Paul’s message; period! Gee, talk about a slick move by the Fed’s owners; now if you support Paul and his anti-FED campaign you are a – - – - racist!

Incidentally, if you don’t know; it is impossible to ever pay off the national debt as long as the Federal Reserve Bank and a debt based monetary system, exist. Wish everyone would do their homework on this subject; then everyone would support Ron Paul, and everything might some day, be alright.

    • reunion says:

good call, bet that wedge of sugar cain pie is to, will, tempt away all the empty carb fiends…’sweet on the tongue, sour in the stomach’ – but I’ve seen amputee diabetics on dialysis drinking coca-cola, so, even “doing the homework” is often irrelevant…..

  7. Paul says:

    RS,

    Nice!

I too, as far back as ’07, began calling Obozo a very evil man and sharing that feeling with friends and acquaintances. At the time I couldn’t put a finger on the exact reason for my feelings but, I knew it in my guts.

Incredibly, some of my (former) friends and acquaintances actually imbibed of the Kool-Aid and voted for the scum-sucker. Imagine my surprise (or lack thereof) when presently, said friends and acquaintances began telling me how sorry and ashamed they were for not listening to me and falling for the clap-trap.

As time wore on, most of the aforementioned friends and acquaintances have extracted themselves from my presence, preferring, I believe, to become hermit-like and hide themselves from ridicule and further shame. Funnily enough, I don’t miss them.

  8. I wish I could support Herman Cain, but find I cannot.
He is a former deputy chairman (1992–94) and chairman (1995–96) of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
This is a link to his bio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Cain

I feel that the Fed is a major cause of the problems we have today. Before it existed there were local and regional banking problems. Thanks to the Fed these problems are now national and if the Fed is secretly sending money to Europe then the Fed is enabling the continuation of global problems.

Dr. Ron Paul’s 11-Point Plan That Could Save America

I have been a Ron Paul supporter since I first heard about him in the 1980’s. In all that time I have found no one I would rather have for president.

  9. Reality Seeker says:

How laughable, really, it is; To think that amerikans would trade in a two-bit-community- organizing-false-messiah like Berry (sic) Obama for a Federal-Reserve-Godfather-Pimp like Herman Cain; I mean, after all of the economic adversity caused by the crooks who control the banking system and you people now want a Bankster-in-Chief?

And, remember, that Herman The Bankster Cain was not just merely a board member on the Fed, no, but the director(chairman)— one of the Federal Godfathers.

Cain worshiped—and still does worship— a banking God (sic) Father, Son and The Holy Ghost all rolled into one i.e. Alan Greenspan (aka Alan Greenback).

The Godfather claims that he would not end The Fed and that the Fed is audited enough already—imagine that. Cain disagrees with the Founding Fathers regarding the Constitutional role of money as it relates to banking. The Godfather calls Ron Paul’s supporters’ questions about the Fed “stupid.” He openly criticises Ben Bernanke for expanding the money supply, yet praises Alan Greenback…. This guy, Cain, has insider-flip-flop hypocrite written all over him.

In fact, you don’t get anymore insider than Herman Cain; I mean, here is a guy who has been on the inside track for years now—even working as a lobbyist—and, yet, all you R.I.N.O.-neocon-loving suckers seem to love being lied to by Cain—the newest godfather pimp.

    • Reality Seeker says:

You know something?, I watch as year after year passes by and how time and time again you people get pimped, suckered, and sold out by these sweet-hustling-political pimps…….Election day has become like Bill Murry’s Groundhog Day for most of you, yet there you all go again like lemmings after the piper. Will you ever learn? Ever?

Later, perhaps after the debate, I’ll get into the Godfather’s 999 tax-con proposal. For now, I’ve said enough. I’m going to post a link for those of you who want to learn how the oligarchy gets things done in amerika. I warn you, this is Murray Rothbard giving a history lesson on how the banking con-game is played; therefore, you’ll have to actually have the ability to reason with an open mind so as to learn something about how banking con-men—like Herman Cain—become who they are.

Don’t just simply follow the money, because that’s not good enough. Learn how both money and public opinion are created and controlled—thus, learn how you’re controlled……

      http://lewrockwell.com/rothbard/rothbard271.html

      • reunion says:

rs…have had the “open mind” harpies, would be harpooners, hurling their sticks at me for some time, (what’s that line of connery’s? “isn’t that just like an open mind? brings a long pole to an electrical storm.” lol).

thing is, brain/mind is like an integrated circuit. usually (but not 100% of the time), “open mind” is often the default response of an open circuit (the windows os blue screen of death, you might say…i reserve right to mix metaphors). switches can corrode tight in either position, so it’s malfunction, either way.

if it once meant something else, well, a lot of terms once meant something else…but i think repetition of mongrel terms is like additional layers of tape on a boxer’s hands, or gauze on boris carloff’s body – hands become clubs and the mummy becomes a statue….

i know what you mean…you know what i mean?

      • I have to agree with RealitySeeker. Though Mr. Cain is charming, he will not be able to lead us out of this mess. He cannot, because he does not understand what has caused it. Or worse, if he does understand, he is truly one of THEM. Please read Ron Paul’s books so you can understand what is going on and see why he is in the best position to help. If you decide to support him, he can really use your donations today, Friday, 9/30. http://www.ronpaul2012.com/

  10. Reality Seeker says:

By the way, I forgot to answer the question: “Is Cain the Antidote to Obama’s Deception?” No, because Cain is himself a deception. It’s like trading one poisonous deception for another when both poisons come in lethal doses.

  11. Scott says:

Speaking of poison and antidotes, the FDA requires drug (poison) makers to pass a test called the LD50 – it is certification of the dose required to kill 50% of the sample population (lab rats). If there is no dose which kills 50% of the sample population, then thechnically, it isn’t a drug…it’s a food. Hence the Food and Drug Administration.

I think the GOP has passed the LD50 test with their present panel of presidential hopefuls. Excepting Ron Paul the Leathal Dose percentage is 100%!

  12. Robby Bonfire says:

Cain’s predecessor, the conservative Alan Keyes, got slaughtered in Illinois by the Obama machine in the primaries. Alan Keyes is a damn good man, but again, the politics of power resoundingly clobbered the politics of ethics, morality, reason, and economic restraint.

If the Republican Party is so scared of this incumbent it thinks the best it can do to beat him is run a virtually unknown black man against him they are playing themselves for a chump, and not learning from history, which used to be an exclusively Leftist failing.

Come on – put our best out there and take this shyster to the mat. Or crawl into a hole and decommission the Republican Party, which will die anyway if it doesn’t seize the moment and beat this Marxist/socialist dictator to a pulp.

    • reunion says:

oops. those bits of dialog from the movie “rounders” contained some profanity; guess that’s why they’re gone. good flick, and a good analogy for the pols/voters yoke. here’s the distilled summary quote:

Mike McDermott: Listen, here’s the thing. If you can’t spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker.

they love having you at the table robby. only way for you to hurt them is to get up, cash your chips (if you have any left), and leave. then, follow thru by working to convince as many other suckers to stop being suckers…..

Perfection is the enemy of good enough. Cain has legitimate reasons to believe in the Fed. While I disagree, an d I would love to see the Fed go down. And some convictions for malfeasance to ice the cake, I don’t think we can afford to wait for Jesus to come.

Cain is not my pick, I still prefer NOTA. But ABO, beats the POTUS any day.

Too many for too long have sat on the sidelines letting one side, and the traitors have a field day.

If everyone had voted more to the right than left, especially at the local level, like -
Oh, Houston…. we might be able to consider a Paul.

But as long as you keep waiting for Prince Charming Perfect to show, we are liable to be forever waiting at the altar.

    • reunion says:

< Perfection is the enemy of good enough.

since perfection is not the goal (it is impossible, don't you know that?), this old homily is straw man.

< Too many for too long have sat on the sidelines letting one side, and the traitors have a field day.

dx isn't – it is a mantra (and you didn't think it up, you picked it up, painlessly, back when you were still a wet sponge…).

the "sideline" did not create the fed and it could not have prevented the fed even if it had had a clue that it should want to.

frankenstein's efforts, and therefore results, were never "legitimate" – "belief" has zero to do with it, "jesus" has zero to do with it.

amerika is an empire in its decadent (rotting) phase. fiat central bank "invested" in, massively profited by, the metastasis of empire – which is to say wholesale murder, rape, pillage.

and here you are, playing the apologist. how reasonable and balanced you are

fiat is not just toilet paper currency, and it is not just a middling italian (one of the PIIGS…love the rhyme…) car – it is also useful conveyances, like you, know-nothings & just enoughs (to be dangerous) who cheerleader the fans to get off the sidelines and join the offensive/defensive lines of the game in progress, (see? even your metaphors are senseless: some paunch in street clothes squaring off with dick butkus…), by which you mean "vote".

my mother had a shelf of curios. among them were a beautiful conch shell and an impressive dessicated sponge. lovely on the shelf, nice balance….

serling-esque when the sponge gathers up the snail shell, screams "I got the conch! what? you're conchless? don't you know conchlessness is the reason for all the trouble? you must have a conch, too! 2-4-6-8, the conchs we must proliferate! conchliness is next to godliness!"

      conk…another rhyme…….

  15. Robert Charles Van Orden says:

    Ladies and Gentlemen:

I do read Robert’s columns regularly, and rarely respond
with comments. However … in reading today’s “comments”
(there are some very substantive ones, yet others who want to APPEAR to be substantive — to merely IMPRESS, but not inspire — and, not concern themselves with the necessary philosophical and practical “substance” to BE substantive); anyone who does not understand the substance
of Ayn Rand’s work needs to, before espousing pseudo-philosophical, pseudo-practical (insightful) “substance”.

I have always found it interesting and astounding that
[many] of the “commenters” here quite purposefully
prefer to APPEAR philosophical rather than to grasp the REAL source of these issues and really KNOW, rather than PRETEND to know them.

If you have not read Atlas Shrugged, and Rand’s other
philosophical works, you should, then — and only then –
come to the philosophical table (NOT as a PSEUDO-philosopher … but) as an objective, reality-oriented
observer and purveyer of objective facts of reality –
    as Robert Ringer always does.

He is a passionate student of Rand’s work, and it shows!

    • reunion says:

      robert charles van orden….

rand is good. many others are, as well. reason has a long provenance and, unfortunately, a sparse posterity.

is your post a template for inspiring others to reason, then?

if rand was in this space with us, do you think she would anonymize the writers she disagreed with?

would roark, galt, et al have been as compelling as symbolic logic cyphers?

would oblique, disembodied responses to mike wallace, phil donohue have been impressive?

what are you actually disagreeing with? who? why?

  16. Robert Charles Van Orden says:

    I rest my case.

  17. can't fool me again says:

This the first time I heard about Cain but I can tell you he doesn stand a chance. How do I know? I am a black man and know how nasty and mean one black man can be to another.

  18. can't fool me again says:

This is the first time I heard of Cain but I can tell you he doesn’t stand a chance. How do I know this? I am a black man and know how mean we can be against each other. Look how Obama handled Alan Keyes. To give you an idea, imagine a fight between Mr. T and Steve Urkel. While Urkel is smart, Mr. T is mean and street smart. He would yell “SHUT UP FOOL!” and then slap him upside the head.

Obama would on the outside be more polite but I bet the first thing he would call Cain is a “Tom” It would go downhill from there. Plus others saying he worked for the Federal Reserve would not help Cain. The Fed will be an issue inb 2012 because everyone will see we are in a depression and the Fed

  19. Annabelle says:

I have read too many spy, espionage books, but folks I think Cain has been carefully created just for a time such as this.

I think there are forces behind his creation and his career.

Why would a party that is 95% white voters be so stupid as to vote for a black man who will not represent them in any way, shape or form.

He will have his own agenda as Obama had his own agenda.

Whites are the only group that does not stand together and represent their interest, are brainwashed into believing they have no right to do this as whites and are being marginalized in the country founded by their white fore fathers.

The Republican Party does nothing to represent white Americans. The party is controlled by the Neocons who came during the Reagan Administration, they came to this party to promote their agenda for Israel but under the skin they are still social communist who hate whites.

    We are committing mass suicide.

Find someone to represent the Republican Party who looks like the Republican Party.

    • reunion says:

“we” is the precondition of “mass suicide”, annabelle. individual lemmings don’t leap, they follow each other, their “representatives”, over.

rx: stop living vicariously, by proxy. self-represent.

  20. Annabelle says:

“We” is the white people who are the base of the Republican Party.

The Republican Party does not represent the civil rights of its white base.

an example is legal and illegal immigration.

How does it serve white Americans to become a minority in the country that was founded by whites. The Republican Party should be screaming to repeal the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1964, babies born in this country are only citizens if their parents are citizens. Treat illegals as invaders, we are at war with Mexico (instead of invading our country with guns, they use lawyers. Affirmative Action is not in the interest of the base of the Republican Party. On and on and on.

Name one thing the Republican Party does for whites.

WHITES SHOULD DEMAND THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY REPRSENT WHITE INTEREST.

whites? since when? and, since when is “white power” anything but prison gangsterism?

base, indeed. very base. very off base.

      • annabelle says:

The Republican Party is made up of at least 90% white gentiles.

well, besides the historical sequence of events (which I will delegate to the search engines, particularly of lewrockwell dot com and mises dot org), I will say that cartels are criminally (because they initiate force, aggress, erect barriers to entry by competitors, trespass) organized subverters of liberty, markets, peace and progress.

cartels are fiefdoms, tribes, gangs. and “parties”. did you ever watch scorcese’s “gangs of new york”? art depicting (not imitating) life. if you haven’t seen it, why don’t you watch it, and get back to me?

  21. annabelle says:

In the 1960′s we fell under the Dictatorship of Multiculturalism. Since then white America has not had a voice and no one to represent us.

What you have described in your last post describes the Democratic Party and their subversive activities.

You obviouly feel that white America has no rights, no voice.

I would like to see the Republican Party sued for what it has done to white America. Everyone deserves representation even the dreaded hated whites.

We have lost our country with out a war.

  22. annabelle says:

Also, as regards to any movie made, there will not ever be an honest depiction of whites as all media is controlled by the multicultural mob. All opinion is shaped by the media.

    I do appreciate your comments

btw, i appreciate your continuing, too. some blogosphere denizens are more like taggers, as in grafitti…….

    • reunion says:

i wrote of the 1860’s – when there most certainly was a war -(tho the beginning is farther back than that), and you point to the 1960’s? your frame of reference is way too small. you will need more history. those sites I suggested, among others, make it very easy to read the history. the movie suggestion is just an easy taste; the reading existed before the movie, and is assuredly not multi-culti, apologetic, or propagandistic.

do armies have rights? no. armies have chains of command, hierarchies of dominance & submission. ’theirs is not to reason why, theirs is but to do & die.’ real charge of the ‘lightless’ brigade stuff.

      • reunion says:

does the commander in chief (to keep it simple) “represent” the army? no. the cinc wields the army; he uses it, to his ends (again, to keep it simple).

an army is a tool. individuals (variously)are recruited, broken down, deindividuated into standard issue gi joes, & this concentrated individual-less, unaccountable force is used to attain ends. Seen ‘the matrix’? flash on the scene where morpheus holds up a Duracell battery. There you have it. Again, an easy taste. fiction can be illustrative.

tools don’t have ends. or identities. or rights. volunteering to become a tool is abandonment of your ends, your identity, your rights.

complaining that your tool-gang is inadequately represented and thereby rights diminished is to completely misunderstand rights. and what gang membership is about. gang membership is subversion of self.

        • reunion says:

collectives don’t have rights; only individuals have rights. should you become an individual, and stand for individuals, then you will have the moral authority to argue for rights. not until then. the individual (skin color: irrelevant) is the smallest minority on earth, as rand said.

i have rights. “white america”, not even a puffer fish, blowing itself up so as to seem more impressive than it is, is nothing, and so has no rights.

what you argue for is power, dominance, submission (over who?). not rights.
