Triumph of the Lie

By Robert Ringer - Friday, September 23, 2011

As news outlets and financial analysts continue to warn of a possible “double-dip recession,” the real world’s invisible depression continues to become more and more visible.  As the Fed continues to print fiat currency and the government continues to borrow money it can never repay, markets gyrate evermore wildly.

Good professional traders who know how to profit in both up and down markets should, as always, do well as the American Empire continues to collapse.  But it’s going to continue to be a bloodletting for the average investor.  As I’ve said many times over the years, I can envision a DJIA at 2,000 or at 100,000 — depending on whether we have a deflationary collapse (which all politicians mortally fear) or a runaway inflation.

Far-left ideologues and their Republican enablers will never accept the fact that the U.S. is bankrupt, but the truth is that not one dime of the national debt will ever be repaid.  That’s a 100 percent guarantee — unless it’s paid off in worthless runaway-inflation currency, which is really just a shameless way of defaulting.  The only thing that is taking the spotlight off the insolvency of the United States is that most of the rest of the world is also broke — and worse.

There are no rules anymore.  Deficits and debt continue to rise regardless of what congresses and parliaments around the world do.  The rule of law is out.  Heads of state, particularly in the United States, do whatever the hell pleases them.

Our own imperial presidential imposter just announced that he would once again ignore the legislative process and remake the No Child Left Behind program to please one of his key constituencies, those militant folks who are supposed to be focused on teaching our children rather than on how many years, months, and days they have left before retirement.

Tip of the hat to George W. Bush for giving us that worthless program — along with the prescription-drug benefit and TARP, none of which we had the means to pay for.  Not to worry, though, because the ex-prez has repeatedly said that he has no regrets for anything he did in office.

The beat goes on … yesterday, in another yawner of a political drama, the House voted 230-195 to reject legislation that would have provided $3.7 billion in disaster aid and enough money to keep the government running through mid-November.  Good news, right?

It would be if it held, but it’s just the same old theatrical production with the same old ending.  When all is said and done, the left always gets more money.  There is no such thing as a spending cut, and rarely is a spending proposal totally rejected.

All but the walking dead realize that, when push comes to shove, borrowed and newly printed money will flow to the corruptocrats in whatever amounts they demand in order to give uber-incompetent FEMA more monopoly money to play with.  The idea of private charity handling disaster relief is unthinkable to the Washington thieves who keep these scams coming at us at a furious pace.

They say the truth shall set you free, which doesn’t bode well for the United States.  Last night in the Republican debate, you saw nine people clamoring for voters’ attention, but the truth was in short supply.

So what if Social Security is an unconstitutional Ponzi scheme?  Don’t you dare say it.  So what if state-run healthcare is an affront to individual freedom?  Don’t you dare say it.  So what if foreign aid is a blatant theft of American citizens’ wealth that is transferred to people in other countries?  Don’t you dare say it.

As I watch all of the unconstitutional craziness that goes on day in and day out in Washington, and couple it with the mealy-mouth statements flying back and forth in the Republican presidential debates, one thought towers above all others:  The U.S. is being held together — barely — by one commodity of which there is no shortage:  the lie.  Lying is the currency of our fading American Empire, and he who tries to be truthful does so at his own peril.

Now, however, truth is about to overwhelm decades of lying.  Mankind can survive plagues, famines, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes — maybe even a modest asteroid strike.  But the one thing it cannot survive is the wicked combination of avarice and arrogance that are modern man’s most prominent traits.

We have now reached the Von Mises moment in modern history, a point in time where truth drowns out all of the politicians’ lies and overwhelms human civilization.  Stick around for awhile and enjoy your front-row seat.

Clearly, RJR is aiming at the truth.

“As the Fed continues to print fiat currency………….markets gyrate evermore wildly.”

The above statement is quite truthful; however, paper/digital money is only the base—the foundation— of the skyscraper of cards.. The “wild” ups and downs of the markets are influenced by the following market reality.

The paper economy has exceeded the real economy, and this is why we are seeing the markets “wildly gyrate.” And “we” haven’t seen anything yet: Hundreds upon hundreds of trillions of fiat dollars have been leveraged into paper derivatives, CDOs, CDS, options, forex, “exotic investment instruments,” and “the beat goes on” and on and on and………………on………. I call it INVESTMENT GAMING.

Investment gambling is a big lie, and it’s turning mainstreet into painstreet.

Some of the biggest triumphal-liars are to be found on Wall Street. That’s were The Investment Gamblers/Banksters live, and the lie lives there with them.

The lie lives in The White House.

    The lie lives in Congress.

The lie lives in the Supreme Court.

The lie lives inside of The Fed.

The lie lives inside of Fox, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and all of the other mainstream news media outlets. The presstitutes love the lie. When the presstitutes speak lies, they are speaking in their native language. They speak fluent propaganda.

The Military Industrial Complex is were the hubris-liars live. During the end game, it is they who will crackdown on what’s left of freedom. They, the hubris-liars, are more than likely to destroy humankind and civilization. They are the large asteroid.

It is written that the Devil is “the father of the lie.” If there is indeed such a supernatural being, looking at the sordid state of human affairs, then daddy is so proud.

    • Reality Seeker says:

It didn’t escape my notice that Gary Johnson was included in the debate last night. Gary is a good man and a truth teller. Both he and Ron Paul were surrounded by triumphal liars.

      • Reality Seeker says:

Of course, the big, triumphal lie is now common knowledge and quite obvious to all: Sovereign debt has caused the skyscraper of cards to become so top heavy that total financial collapse precipitated by a monetary crisis is now assured. I would like to list the names of some of the outstanding truth tellers who have been warning people about market reality for years.

        Bob Chapman

        Gary North

        Lew Rockwell

        Gerald Celente

        Alex Jones

        Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

        Peter Schiff

        Ron Paul

        Max Keiser

The above men deserve a great deal of credit for their work. And like him or not, Alex Jones has become the go to alternative for the truth. And even if you don’t agree with his 911 theories and you still think that conspiracy theories are all rubbish, no matter, because Mr. Alex Jones has had some outstanding guests who have made some outstandingly accurate economic and geopolitical predictions.

Credit should be given where credit is due and the above list is only a starting point of all those truth tellers who have proven to be men of good will.

Thank you, all of you, who love and tell the truth.

        • Stephan F. says:

R.S., I would like to add to that list of yours if you would be so kind:

          Doug Casey
          Richard Maybury
          Michael Pento
          Bill Fleckenstein
          James Grant
          Jim Rogers
          James Turk
And of course our own R.J.R.

A special mention needs to go to the one and only Peter Schiff for his BRILLIANT testimony to congress the other day. This guy should be awarded some kind of medal for having the fortitude, determination, tenacity and skill to tell the truth about the economic quagmire we’re in. I am simply amazed by his courage in attempting to enlighten these economic illiterate-stooges. Of course I’m sure his words fell on deaf ears.

all mises chilluns’…moses spent 40 years in the desert, and mises spent 40+ years warning, “next stop, the desert”…..

      • Paul says:

Nothing would please me more than to see Johnson and Paul in the White House, with either of them in the number one spot and the other as second in command. I believe, however, the chances of that happening are piss-poor-to-unbelievable. Why? Because the majority of the American voting public WANTS to be lied to.

They either want to be lied to or they have their own little “special interest” they want to see preserved, like Social Security/Medicare. They’re all perfectly fine with the truth, as long as it doesn’t effect them.

Or, they’re comfortable in the false security given them by useless government agencies like FEMA, TSA, EPA, OSHA and so many others. They do not want to imagine a country where they are responsible for their own well being.

We’re all puttering along in the same jalopy, watching the edge of the cliff we’re driving along and hoping the navigator (the American voting public) doesn’t make us take an immediate sharp turn to the left and run us over the edge. We are, however, drifting dangerously close.

You’re welcome, Reality Seeker. And thank YOU for taking time to acknowledge those of us who realize that truth isn’t everything; it’s the only thing.

And thank-you, Mr. Ringer, for crashing through my ’60′s-minded, “feeling”-centered consciousness over 30 years ago and teaching me that reality really doesn’t care about what I want or feel.

Mr Ringer…. All I have to say is BRAVO!! to you!! I actually believe there are ALOT of people out there that are Totally aware of all the LYING by the Politicians and the ‘behind the back’ Stabbing to ‘We the People’, but Most people I talk with don’t know what to do to Stop it. Voting is not the answer because Honestly you and I have NO idea if the real winner ever wins. Writing to your Represenitive is Rediculous when most get paid under the table to ‘back’ certain things. All the Politicians KNOW the RIGHT thing to do, but they DON’T. You can’t impeach any of them; the process is a sad and silly joke. I don’t know the answer to all the lying and corruption, but YES, it WILL bring this AMAZING Country DOWN!! Sad, but VERY true. The Lobbyists, The Bilderbergs, The Fed Bankers are all
RUINING a ONCE GREAT COUNTRY and even though all the news outlets are Mostly censered from printing or actually telling the TRUTH, We the people of this GREAT Country should be fighting back. WE have the POWER, WE have the STRENGTH, but we’re NOT using it. We’re gonna go down in flames if We DON’T wake up!!!!!!!!!!

    • reunion says:

mark…define “country”. it’s not the righteous foundation too many assume it to be.

preserve, reservation, territory, turf, niche, monopoly/cartel…corral, cage, concentration camp, CAFO….

there is a fruit, Synsepalum dulcificum, “miracle fruit”, that ‘adjusts’ taste buds so that all that is acidic/sour becomes “sweet”. honey-tongued demagogues were pillow-talking & french kissing a similar substance into people long before the fruit was discovered……

  5. don says:

    dear robert r:

speaking of lies there are the lies of omission in this day and age. when did anyone place a golden crown on bernake’s head to make him and the federal reserve the fourth and most powerful branch of government?
if i missed a newsflash or coronation please let me know. the arrogant extreme borderline insane actions of the federal reserve with few limits are one giant lie of
    omission…

for those who are passive let me point out the usa has already started bailing out greece….with a 40 billion ‘contribution’ to the imf to do so… in addition the usa has currency ‘swaps’ of us dollars in unlimited amounts(a blank check of dollars apparently)with the other major central banks..most especially the ecb….to help bail out greece, the pigs countries….the euro itself
apparently by loaning dollars destined to be used by the largest european banks…in trouble(most are in trouble) drawn from this european fund…
meanwhile geither strongly encourages the ecb to print mountains of paper euros like the ‘pros’ in the federal reserve and treasury have already done to infuse money…intyo their banks! thanks geither and bernake for putting our money where your mouth is!

  6. The Truth is required first. The national debt as of today for today, not some concoction of future debts, but now is about $52, trillion / This is the National debt (treasury bills) the singular net total of the M3 – M2 plus the over seas deposits (Both Euro and Dollar deposits) plus all foreign holdings by the cartels plus the holdings of debt by the Fed unrelated to the Treasury, less the foreign credits and currency held by the Fed. Net is $52 Trillion. Now since January 5 million people have taken early retirement, they do not count in the retired numbers given by the Federal Government now at 65 + million / This means we have the 5 million on SS early retirement + the 13 million unemployed (9.7%) drawing unemployment + the 9 million not on SS or anything else for a total of 29 million affected due to the crisis. We have almost 10% of the entire population right there ! The numbers are shocking / and worst the Crisis was not a surprise it was clear to and everyone knew it was a high possibility EVERYONE KNEW …. IT IS THE ECONOMY AND HERE COMES EVERYBODY ! I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY ………THESE NUMBERS ARE REAL………..! REMEMBER THAT FIAT CURRENCY IS A CALL OPTION ON LABOR AND ASSETS ……… !

  7. Plastic Money says:

Forget the debt the US borrows only in its own currency.
It can not default. There are no debts when you are able to borrow in your own currency.
The currency however will eventually default but that is later. For now we are still in an Financial Asset deflation and the Fed’s only real purpose is to try at any cost to re-inflated those assets back up. The money base is not going in to the money supply (the real economy) its going to maintain Asset Valuation in order to avoid reality and recapitalizes the bad Banks.

Bank Reserve at the FED are to high for any big inflation but as soon as we see the money supply start to move up fasten your seat belt.
