The Return of Hillary?
By Robert Ringer - Friday, August 27, 2010
For reasons that will become obvious to you as you read, I thought it would be interesting to end the summer with a rerun of an article I wrote back on August 19, 2008, because it explains why I wanted Barack Obama to defeat John McCain in the presidential election. (Certain selected material has been highlighted in yellow for emphasis.)
While watching some of the B. and J. McBama interviews by Rick Warren Saturday evening, one thought dominated my mind: The big winner of the evening might just be Hillary Clinton. That’s right, none other than the little feminist idol herself – the two-for-the-price-of-one part of the HillBillys that William Jefferson Clinton promised us back in 1992. But let’s begin at the beginning.
First of all, to my surprise, I thought the interview format was unique and refreshing and that Rick Warren did an excellent job. It was a clever idea to ask both candidates the same questions and not allow them to hear their opponent’s answers. Plus, Warren apparently made it clear that personal attacks would not be welcomed, which I’m sure the supporters of both candidates appreciated.
Second, and again to my surprise, both B. and J. McBama handled their interviews very well. B. McBama, whom Warren interviewed first, effectively employed his trademark stutter-stepping in and around most of the questions, but, to his credit, did finally admit to some of his more contentious Marxist views. When his interview was finished, I thought he probably had a slam-dunk win over the normally dull and hapless J. McBama.
Then, a third surprise: J. McBama came on strong, answered questions quickly and unequivocally, and most of his answers were clearly conservative. My perception was that he made B. McBama, by comparison, look somewhat weak and indecisive. Which is when the unthinkable popped into my mind: J. McBama could actually win in November!
And along with that possibility, a sign lit on my forebrain that said: Here Comes Hillary! The scenario is not a hard one to envision. With each passing day, B. McBama increasingly trips over his wide array of contradictory opinions, and, from what I saw Saturday, McCain could very well make him look like an uninformed child in the upcoming presidential debates.
And if that should happen, voters might very well end up choosing J. McBama as the lesser of two evils. Voila! – a president misperceived as a conservative then takes the reins of the crumbling American Empire, a president who is notorious for “reaching across the aisle” and making deals with left-wing radicals. Such deals have never brought about prosperity … are not bringing about prosperity now… and can never bring about prosperity.
On the contrary, every step in the direction of more government regulation and redistribution of wealth will only further weaken the free-falling dollar and, thus, our faltering economy. President J. McBama would be saddled with such a colossal economic mess that I doubt he would even bother to run for a second term. (Keep in mind that, on top of all the other problems he would be facing, Russia has just announced, through its actions, that it intends to get back into the Butt-Kicking Business!)
If you have any doubts about the financial prospects of the United States in the coming four-year presidential term, be sure to see the documentary I.O.U.S.A., which will be playing in 400 theaters nationwide beginning August 21. This eye-opening documentary features former Comptroller General of the United States David M. Walker, Warren Buffet, and Pete Peterson, senior chairman and co-founder of The Blackstone Group. You will see and hear things that neither the presidential candidates nor the entitlement-addicted public want to know about.
In case you hadn’t noticed, whatever else B. McBama and J. McBama may have said right in their interviews with Rick Warren, neither of them offered any serious solutions to the real problems causing America’s demise – little things such as cutting, and ultimately completely eliminating, entitlements … phasing out the fraudulent Social Security program … eliminating the Department of Education and selling off all public schools to private companies and investors … outlawing government’s involvement in any kind of business enterprise, including and especially the energy business … and, yes, conceding the right of any state to secede from the United States of America at any time the voters in that state believe the federal government no longer serves their needs or has become too oppressive … for starters.
Thus, under J. McBama, the result of the deepening of America’s financial problems would be a collective “I told you so” from the GAVEC crowd. (GAVEC = guiltism, angerism, villainism, envyism, covetism.) The Republican wing of the Demopublican Party would have zero chance of winning in 2012.
The chant for a person of integrity, kindness, compassion, and experience – someone who is willing to get tough with those greedy American businesspeople and entrepreneurs who have the audacity to produce goods and services that people want to buy, free of government coercion – would then begin just in time for the start of the 2012 presidential race. Break out the pantsuits and make way for the strong little lady who was blindsided in 2008 by an arrogant upstart who employed Clintonistic tactics better than the Clintons themselves.
I agree with Dick Morris that Hillary and Hubby Bubby are working behind the scenes – albeit quietly and subtly – to try to bring about the defeat of B. McBama. Make no mistake about it, the big winner of a J. McBama victory in November would be none other than Hillary Clinton.
One last note of caution regarding J. McBama: With the reentry of the 800-pound Russian bear into the Global War Games, J. McBama might just drag the U.S. into new, and even more dangerous, military adventures that would bring the dollar to its final resting place even more quickly. And, in conjunction with such adventures, J. McBama may very well try to reinstitute the ultimate form of slavery – conscription.
I say, “Go B. McBama!” Let the economy collapse around the neck of a Marxist so you and I can be the ones to say “I told you so” … rather than handing that opportunity to the proponents of GAVEC. And if we work real hard at bringing about the Liberty Education Revolution, perhaps millions of voters will finally recognize that it is in their best interests to give up their addiction to the government feeding trough and opt for free-market solutions to their problems.
That we have a Marxist in the White House who is relentlessly trying to destroy what is left of the U.S. economy is by now clear to everyone outside of Media Ga-Ga Land. Yes, I – and many others – are saying, “I told you so.”
Now the big question is, are enough millions of voters ready to throw in the towel and recognize that it is in their best interest to give up their addiction to government benefits and allow the free market to solve their problems organically? Ready or not, we will soon find out.
Oh, and by the way, even though J. McBama didn’t win, that may not stop Hillary from making a run at the White House in 2012. The HillBillys still have a little score to settle with the smart-aleck wonder boy who appeared out of nowhere and stole the nomination from them. Something tells me that the real fun is still in front of us. Stick around.

Your analysis was pretty close to being right then, and it is now. The problem is, we don’t know if this country can survive long enough for people who value liberty to get the country back. That worried me then, and it worries me now. It will be really close. I am amazed things haven’t already fallen apart. B would gladly turn this into a dictatorship, and he’s been working furiously to do so. I think probably our only hope is what might happen in November. Certainly blaming B for our problems sits well with me.
Along with that, a lot of prayer and trust in God are essential. Don’t be too hard on J. He’s actually a good man. He has made some serious blunders, but overall, he’s good for us. He wants to get rid of earmarks, and he doesn’t take them for Arizona (unlike Ron Paul, unfortunately, who does for his district.) I also think he learns, and he listens. That’s vital, and something most congresscritters refuse to do.
The rational of wanting Barack Obama to defeat John McCain because then we all can say, ” I told you so” is understandable; But frankly, rebuking the undereducated herd with expressions like the following is a mostly a waste of time: “I told you that black snake of a hypocrite from Chicago and all that ‘Change you can believe in’ rhetoric was just a politically motivated *&^%& -suckers lie that Obama enjoyed telling to fools.” These types of “I told you so” conversations, I often hear them as I’m eating dinner and eves dropping on the surrounding table’s conversations. Often, as more and more libations are consumed by individuals, the “I told you so” rebukes increase proportionately.
This “I told you so” phenomenon, reminds me of the truism: “Burgundy makes you think of silly things, Bordeaux makes you talk of them, and Champagne makes you do them”……..Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
Fear makes you think of desperate measures, discomfort makes you talk of them, and pain makes you take them: Currently, in economic terms, we’re still in the fear/discomfort stage of the crisis. When America finally reaches the pain stage, then real change will take place. The government has been artificially delaying the pain and temporarily ameliorating some of the fear that will—-in the end— lead to a widespread, genuine revolt. And here is a KEY POINT: THE PAIN OF ECONOMIC JUDGEMENT DAY HAS NOT YET ARRIVED. AND THERE IS STILL TIME FOR A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS AND/OR PRESIDENT TO BE IN POWER BEFORE IT DOES ARRIVE. ……..And if judgement day arrives right after a Republican scores a touchdown and becomes president, then who is going to be saying I told you so?……hmmmm?
In my opinion, what Americans need to do is stop exchanging “I told you so” and ignite a ragingly hot revolt against both parties; However, it is also my opinion that the herd-like masses are simply not yet ready to stampede into a revolt and trample both parties. Most of the lethargic herd are still too busy getting fat on fast food, bagged potato chips, and super-sized glasses of that flavored-carbonated-sugar-water called Coke. But of course, the middle-class members of the herd can eat and fatten even better than the poor. They are still able to afford to stuff themselves on a meal of overpriced goat cheese salad aperitif, designer/boutique burgers made with Kobe or Wagu beef, a fruited creme brulee and a half bottle of French sauternes; However, middle class eating habits compare as a little of nothing to that of the filthy rich oligarchy, you know, the very ones who are busy looting America in between eating their very extravagant, opulent meals. The ruling class feast on Circa Careme style terrines of wild game, gallantines of exotic and classic birds, pate, and rillettes, Centerpiece of wild boar pate en croute, and Ortolan. All of it washed down by a Chateau d’ Yquem 1945. Finished with dessert: A dark chocolate cremeux, Coco Pain de Denes, Bernt Orange Meringue, and chicory ice cream—and don’t forget the designer cup of coffee.
As a student of human nature, I actually enjoy intently observing Homo sapiens, much like a devoted ornithologist stalks and analyzes birds; although birds, unlike humans, rarely seem otiose—and thus, as such, humans can often be a complete waste of the observers time. Shortly, I think, it will indeed be an exciting time to be alive, because it will, no doubt, be a better time to be a wild bird than a domesticated human. The time is almost upon us, I surmise, when many humans will actually wish that they are birds with the ability to fly away and hide. Painful and full of excitement is what the future holds, as lives of gluttony turn to lives of austerity.
Figuratively speaking, there is a man-made lake that is full of human suffering. And it will be interesting to watch reality crack and breach the dam, and then release a human torrent of misery. Personally, even if I’m swept away and drown in the raging waters, I can’t think of a more historically exciting way to live and die. At any rate, I’d rather die while history is being made, than while it is being talked about over dinner at Le Bernardin saying “I told you so…..”
There’s a theory floating around that Hillary might run in 2012. And it seems the theory would make sense. The economy is in the toilet and Obama is too lazy and doesn’t want anything to do with it. He can get out while the gettin’s good, collect benefits and a pension for the rest of his life and of course speaking gigs, books, etc.
It seems like Hillary would have to run in 2012 as she might be too old by 2016. I guess we’ll see.
Sure does seem like this country is screwed!
