The problem is WE THE PEOPLE ARE DIVIDED. Only if Texas or WASHINGTON, OREGON and IDAHO, try to break free of the union, will there be a chance.
What happened to the U.S.S.R. could happen here.
WE THE PEOPLE should NOT be sending the bulk of our taxes to Washington, DC. They should get the least of our taxes.

“I fear that another civil war is the only way to reclaim our liberty.”

The problem is WE THE PEOPLE ARE DIVIDED. I maintain what I said then, that if shown to the majority of military officers that they swore an oath to uphold the CONSTITUTION, and that Comrade Obama is using it for toilet paper, I think at least 60-70% of the military would side with the revolutionaries. Yes, some of them are solid communists who think everything that's happening is right and good, but there's enough of them that actually love this country that there's a chance to survive. At least, that's what I hope. Perhaps the time has come though for each of us to ask: Even if this is likely to be a fight we will lose, should it not still be fought? The answer to that question may literally be a matter of life or death. I know which one I choose. Hell, I've been getting ready for the camps for over a year now. There's plenty on record at the college I attend to put me high up already on that lovely list of right-wing radicals and terrorists. I disagree with the current administration, and I haven't tried to hide it. It's a great time to be alive!

Well, it’s been about a year and a half since I wrote saying pretty much the same thing. Americans soldiers who believe in the founding principles of our nation will not follow orders from a socialist or communist President (or self-proclaimed dictator) - especially if those orders are in complete contradiction to the constitutional rights afforded our leaders.

As a resident of Massachuetts who witnessed first hand the election of Scott Brown, our voices can still be heard around the world. However, I agree with you that Mr. Obama and his Progressive followers will do everything possible to take control of our lives and freedoms. Their organization is very strong and as things continue to get more difficult for them they will use whatever means possible to gain control. Like you, Glenn Beck mentioned on a recent broadcast that you might want to stock-up on extra food and other provisions because our lifestyle CAN change 180 degrees in a matter of minutes let alone days. Comments like these can bring strange looks from people if you know what I mean. But I do have a few neighbors that agree with me and we are planning to begin working on plans to prepare for the worst in hope for the best. I pray everyday for our country and will do whatever it takes to spread the principles of our Constitution and our rights as Americans. Thank you for everything you have done to help lead us with truth and patriotism.

Call me a dreamer Robert…but I still believe and pray that we the 70% of American “good guys” still have enough power to make a difference in the future direction of our country. It was about the GOP getting back to their roots by updating their "Contract From America".
If the GOP is going to survive it needs to toss out their liberal members and get back to less government and less government interference with private enterprise. If I didn't know better i would say you and the article were working together to help wake up the silent majority.

Your article came at a good time as I just finished reading an article in Sunday’s newspaper titled “Right back to the drawing board”. isPermaLink="false">http://blog.robertringer.com/?p=1131#comment-3136

I can add very little in support of this superbly written blog. Mr. Ringer sums up the situation we all face perfectly. Yes, all in all, Mr. Beck is doing a fine job, with only a few irrigating exceptions. I'm still watching Beck, however. Call me crazy if you like, but I don't fully trust Beck or Palin---not after what they did in Texas.
I too believe that a state of emergency is in America's future within the next ten years. After America can no longer muddle through and it totally collapses, then an emergency will be declared and individual rights will be suspended. Of course, the government won't admit what they are doing; They will use Orwellian euphemisms to whitewash their intentions. Specious euphemisms such as "protective measures" will be employed to try and pacify a full blown revolt. Personally, I think Mr. Glenn Beck, Mr. Marc Faber, Mr. Peter Schiff, Mr. Jim Rogers, and other alarmists are doing a fine job in warning people about an upcoming collapse; However, I don't think they even know the level of chaos that is likely to result in the scenarios they're forecasting. Gerald Celente has the firmest grip on reality of any of the forecasters, but I wonder if even he fully understands how bloody it could get.
Lets look at the facts: Approximately 150 million people own guns in America. If only 1% turn violent and resist the coming state of emergency(aka an oligarchic power grab), then a guerrilla army of one-and-a-half-million warriors right inside America will be born. Remember the D.C. Sniper? Remember the panic that only two men caused? Think! Wake Up! People! You ain't seen nothing yet.......nothing.
There will be an army of Joe Stacks, only most won't commit suicide. Individuals will be even more creative than Mr. Stack.(e.g. Using radio controlled, hobby airplanes(that only cost a few thousand dollars) and converting them into homemade cruise missiles targeted at the banksters, brokesters, and the rest of the cartel that rules from Washington.
Moreover, "There will be a rifle behind every blade of grass" fighting for its owners individual liberty. In my assessment, the public anger that's building, if not somehow safely vented, will be highly destructive when hyperinflation, dollar devaluation, and savings & asset confiscation by the government inevitably occurs. There is only one hope: Millions upon millions of Americans will want to protest and throw out the oligarchy using nonviolent/mildly violent means. LET THEM.
My advice to the government cartel: Leave quickly and quietly while you still can. Follow the example of Senator Bayh. All you government vermin better start jumping the ship and hope that the public spares your life when the revolution starts.

I can add very little in support of this superbly written blog. It is time to remember what Fredrick Dunn has said;
"Virtue does not always demand a heavy sacrifice - only the willingness to make it when necessary."
The worrying about being labled seems to be a further side effect of all the political correctness
that has tarnished proper discussion.
It is manifesting itself in a trend I have noticed in civic groups and in the workplace. The talk is always about being a team player, until you register
even minor disagreement. Then you are instantly considered the other "T" word, troublemaker.
So Yes I say No.

I agree with making a stand and being proud of it.<br

The current leadership is showing it's disdain and arrogance as qualified "representatives" for the American people. The current leadership represents a failed Utopian ideal, which more and more Americans are coming to understand. The lies and manipulation used as tactics are becoming overt to more and more people.
The arrogance and desperation of the liberals, as more Americans are not just saying "no" to the attitude and thug-like tactics, but "HELL NO!".]
I do not believe that the U.S. military would go against the American people. The composition of the military personnel is overall very patriotic, as are most of the commanders.
We would all like to think that this growing crisis of confidence in the present administration would not come to this critical juncture.
Dealing with obviously insane and irrational political ideologues willing to push the envelope for their agenda until a crisis is at hand, we must take historical precedent into consideration and be prepared for almost anything.
I still find it historically ironic how hard core socialism and communism was refuted for it's failings and eventually routed in Russia, and yet still managed to transplant itself into the American political mainstream and attain power.
How could so many American voters with so much historical precedent and evidence for illustration to guide them, be so foolish to have enabled these blood thirsty lunatics once again after millions upon millions of innocent people died in the last century from the lack of any ground morality in the political philosophy of Karl Marx? The sad wonder of it all leaves many of us in a state of perplexed incredulity.

“No”..two letters that form the complimentary opposite of going along with any wild and irrational legislation, including proposals and propositions, that’s obviously to any sane thinker not in the best long term benefit of the individual nor the group as a whole.

The current leadership is showing it’s disdain and arrogance as qualified “representatives” for the American people.
