By the by, can someone explain to me how you can declare war on a "Tactic"? A method of war where the weak fight back successfully against the strong?
It makes no more sense than the "war on drugs".
But then the purpose of these is not the defense of the United States, just as it is not the protection of our children from drug abuse.
It is all about power. You will never ever have liberty when you give others the ability to start endless wars in your name.
The Homeland Security fascist state is a direct result of the war on terror.
You want respect for private property? Just as soon as they root out the very last terrorist and we all enter the promised land of safety.
The welfare/warfare state is one hydra, you can not allow one branch to continue if you want to kill it.
Government is FORCE, nothing more. Thus we have the current administration policy of murder of US citizens, if they are deemed to be enemy combatants.
If that is ok with you all, then we are doomed to continue exactly as we are.

Robert, there is one “politician” who does speak the unvarnished truth: Ron Paul. What can I do to help stop this "soon to happen" tragedy from becoming a true reality. It seems so unbalanced. We have the Law makers, the politicians, and the Media actively praising and encouraging this process to not only continue but to become progressively worse. They treat the people (God fearing conservatives) whose ideology this country was founded on, as crazies. Granted some of them are taking to radical strategies. However, it seems the less radical practices are not effective.
On another note-but in a similar vein, what can America do about BHO and his Birth certificate issue? A simple situation, and there seems to be NO clear cut answer or process. Why is this being such a simple issue, being dragged out, and not dealt with? And shouldn't those who were closest to him, his wife, Pelosi, Biden, Frank and etc. also be tried for covering up the truth?

I agree with everything you have stated. In one of your books, you included a witticism from Ashleigh Brilliant that sums up many people's attitude and perspective today.....
"I have abandoned my search for truth and am now looking for a good fantasy".
Bad news for those people..truth and hard reality always win over the course of time. Always, no exceptions.
The examples from every page of history, the science, math, and even politics are prolific.
Liberals, progressives, democrats, socialists, communists, etc.,
promise people visions of unattainable Utopia's and breaking the laws of nature, especially the laws of economics, and of course many people looking for a life with the least possible personal responsibility, foolishly believe and follow the fantasy pulling the rest of us down into their fantasy created made manifest Orwellian dystopia with them.

Robert,<br

After they have title to the money, it is no longer "taxpayer money", but government money to do anything legal with it.
I get the danger in what you're suggesting, but from where I sit, taxation is legal.

According to the U.S. Constitution I looked at, under Article 1, section 8 (1), it says,”The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises….

After they have title to the money, it is no longer “taxpayer money”, but government money to do anything legal with it.

I get the danger in what you’re suggesting, but from where I sit, taxation is legal.

By: arms merchant

<guid

Not sure how you deal with the inevitable demand-deflation cycle as all that government fiat money is pulled out of the system.
One concept might be to start private accounts for each SS recipient that would be supplemented by a fiat money subsidy that would gradually be phased out. But I don't see how we could avoid wild instability of the financial markets in a transition to real money. Any ideas?

Not only would going “cold-turkey” on entitlements entail pain and suffering, it could collapse the economy and drive us into a second depression. Sarah Palin just endorsed Rick Perry for Texas Governor over Debra Medina. That tells you everything truthful you need to know about Sarah the spineless barracuda. Debra Medina is a genuine Tea Party constitutionalist and a true grass roots candidate that would lead the Tea Party in the right direction---away from the phonies like John The Progressive McCain ..
Palin sweet-talks, panders, and then co-opts the Tennessee Tea Party right into the Republican Party, and then turns right around and snubs Debra Medina. Palin is after power---period.
Sarah Palin looks sexy with her AR-15, but you know what? The more I hear her talk, the less I trust her not to shoot a true freedom lover in the back.
Listen people, times are going to get serious, deadly serious. So that means it's time to get some discernment. Stop listening to the same old rhetoric of the John McCains and the Sarah Palins of this world, and start supporting people like Debra Medina.
Wake up: Sarah Palin is George Bush's sister republican. We don't need a third Bush for President.

You want the truth? It's encouraging to know that at least someone's thinking and ethics haven't changed or been corrupted in 27 years. Too bad so many of our political leaders who claim to be conservative freedom lovers have moved so far to the left. I'm forwarding your voice of sanity to most everyone I know and many say they have subscribed. As you said in 1983, educating the folks is our only salvation from dictatorship. I am worried about what emergency (lie) might be used to suspend elections either this year or in 2012. The "Saul, Barack and Me" series certainly puts everything into an immediate perspective.

I just finished rereading “How … Happiness … Collapse … Western Civilization” this morning. You are correct about just about everything that you have written in this piece. While I agree with your sentiments when you state: "Put simply, the public has to be taught that the price of unsustainable wealth-redistribution programs is servitude. And, like it or not, that’s the unvarnished truth," I sadly believe that those who are accustomed to "wealth-distribution programs" are not even aware that they are experiencing "servitude." Many of them know nothing else. For too many Americans, we have become a society where a sense of personal responsibility has been replaced by a sense of entitlement. I am not sure what the answer to this is, but we are in for a bleak future if someone does not quickly come up with a realistic answer.
