It makes no more sense than the “war on drugs”.

But then the purpose of these is not the defense of the United States, just as it is not the protection of our children from drug abuse.

On another note-but in a similar vein, what can America do about BHO and his Birth certificate issue? A simple situation, and there seems to be NO clear cut answer or process. Why is this being such a simple issue, being dragged out, and not dealt with? And shouldn’t those who were closest to him, his wife, Pelosi, Biden, Frank and etc. also be tried for covering up the truth?

One concept might be to start private accounts for each SS recipient that would be supplemented by a fiat money subsidy that would gradually be phased out. But I don’t see how we could avoid wild instability of the financial markets in a transition to real money. Any ideas?

You are correct about just about everything that you have written in this piece. While I agree with your sentiments when you state: “Put simply, the public has to be taught that the price of unsustainable wealth-redistribution programs is servitude. And, like it or not, that’s the unvarnished truth,” I sadly believe that those who are accustomed to “wealth-distribution programs” are not even aware that they are experiencing “servitude.” Many of them know nothing else. For too many Americans, we have become a society where a sense of personal responsibility has been replaced by a sense of entitlement. I am not sure what the answer to this is, but we are in for a bleak future if someone does not quickly come up with a realistic answer.
