Everyone — including the far left — is well aware of the hypocrisy of the Democrats as it relates to their treatment of Harry Reid versus their reaction to Trent Lott’s comment to Strom Thurmond at his 100th birthday party.
Reid, with his perpetual scowl firmly in place, was predictably pathetic in his reaction to questions concerning his remarks about BHO’s racial qualities. In a press conference that followed the “light-skinned-with-no-Negro-dialect” bombshell, instead of answering the questions asked of him, Reid used each question to launch into a self-serving speech about what a swell guy he’s always been when it comes to the African-American community.
He even refused to answer a question about whether he thought he owes voters an apology. Nothing new here. He simply used the standard modus operandi of the far left: When confronted with the truth, ignore and filibuster.
The kindest thing I can say about Hapless Harry’s performance is that it was pathetic. Among his more eye-opening remarks, he noted that both Julian Bond and The Huffington Post had given him their full support. Can you imagine bragging about being supported by Julian Bond and The Huffington Post? Sort of like being proud that Stalin and Pravda once gave you a thumbs up.
Forget about the fact that it was a Republican president who ended slavery, which is why it was weird, to say the least, that Reid recently said that the Republicans were the same types of people who opposed ending slavery.
Forget about the fact that Democratic Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the longest-serving member of that body, was for many years a proud member of the Ku Klux Klan.
Forget about the fact that southern Democrats were the inventors and staunchest defenders of the Jim Crow laws that kept southern blacks on “Uncle Sam’s Plantation” for decades after they were declared free by a Republican president.
That’s right, forget about all the minor stuff and concentrate on the real issue: Republicans will continue to aid and abet their Democratic colleagues’ drive to socialize America until, and unless, they develop a spine. For most of the past 100 years, whenever they have managed to gain any meaningful power, Republicans have allowed Democrats to intimidate and shame them into doing their bidding.
Meaning that, when push comes to shove, enough Republicans vote for legislation that keeps moving the country further to the left. Which is why, had Mush McCain won the presidency, the only thing that would have been different is that America’s nonstop drive toward socialism would have continued at a slower pace. You know the drill — boil the frog slowly.
Give the Democrats credit for one thing, they stood up for their socialist Senate leader, even though his remarks were indefensible (by their standards). But when Trent Lott made his now infamous off-handed comment at Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party (a remark so innocuous that, to this day, it’s impossible for anyone to say with certainty what, if anything, he meant by it), many spineless Republicans went into their lapdog act and joined the Democrats in calling for his resignation.
If all this is a sign of things to come, the Democrats have nothing to fear if Republicans should succeed in taking back the House and Senate in 2010. If the past is prologue to the future, Republicans will continue to do cartwheels to assure their pals across the aisle that they are fully prepared to go along with the Democrats’ socialist agenda — political correctness, transfer-of-wealth programs, cap and trade, healthcare, and more.
Personally, I don’t believe that Harry Reid should be pressured into stepping
down for making racially insensitive, politically incorrect remarks. What should
be done, however, is that the day-in, day-out unconstitutional activities of
Reid — along with those of his pals Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer,
Charlie Rangel, et al. — should be fully investigated and, if the facts so
warrant, he and his cohorts should be put on trial for treason. Trying to get him kicked out of his job for making a few dumb remarks is just a distraction from the real issue.
By the way, in case you’re wondering why Democrats keep getting caught saying degrading things about blacks, it should be self-evident through their policies. Since the implementation of Lyndon Johnson’s insidious Great Society programs, the Democrats have created a perpetual cycle of poverty that has entrapped millions of blacks in a life of despair. The unspoken truth is that liberals, by and large, tend to look down on blacks as less than human. (After all, most of them do have that embarrassing “Negro dialect.”)
Strange, but when I heard about Reid’s remarks, my mind shifted back to my younger days when I had a girlfriend who was an archetypal liberal hippie right out of Forrest Gump. I know you’re chuckling trying to picture Robert Ringer with a hippie girlfriend, but it’s true. What can I say other than I was a sucker for a pretty face?
Funny how you remember certain little moments in your life, but I can clearly recall her saying to me one day, “I heard a great joke this morning. Want to hear it?” “Sure,” I said. She then proceeded to tell me a very funny — but extremely degrading — joke about three black girls. I never heard her laugh so hard. I admit to laughing a little, but I vividly recall how uncomfortable I felt about the whole thing.
I never forgot that moment, because it made me realize how disingenuous liberals are when they pound their chests in support of blacks. As the years went by and I became much more knowledgeable, I began to realize that the pro-black rhetoric of liberals stems from the progressive mentality that most of them harbor.
Many liberals believe that blacks are simply not smart enough to figure out how to take care of themselves, let alone get ahead in the world. Elite, intellectual whites, educated at our most prestigious universities, must take care of them and make their decisions for them.
What is bizarre about today’s America is that it is a “light-skinned” African-American president without a “Negro dialect” who is carrying the elitist, progressive banner and pressing the socialist pedal to the floor. It’s a sad perversity, and enough to make the great Frederick Douglass roll over in his grave.
In closing, I offer this humble message to the Republican wing of the Demopublican Party: (1) Talk and act like the libertarian-centered conservatives you are supposed to be, and (2) support your fellow party members when they are attacked by the opposition — especially when it involves the passe subject of “racism.”
Forget the timidity, and do both of these things with boldness. Otherwise, prepare to climb even higher on the endangered species list.

It is ironic, or perhaps it is just blatantly hypocritical, that Leftists call their party the “Democrat Party.”
The word “democrat” is derived from the word “democracy.” Part of the definition of the word democracy is “majority rule.” And yet these always contorted and contradictory Leftists derive all their power from the opposite of majority rule – MINORITY RULE. Thanks to them we live in a Minocracy, for lack of a better word, The MSA, Minority States of Amercia. Without racial and gender minorities, without a massive alien population, both legal and illegal, and without an amoral, atheistic element to comprise their base of support, they would die on the vine. We are now the Minority States of America, with the foundational values which helped establish our nation’s greatness now in tatters, such is the compelling minority demagoging for fun and profit as practiced by these swinish, Marxist “Democrats,” of today.
All this values demoliton momentum got its start with “equal rights” legislation which effectively criminalized freedom of choice as to who we can hire and rent to, and countless other proscriptions on individual freedom and decision-making autonomy.
This is what we get for going along with misplaced “emotional appeals,” instead of steadfastly maintaining and defending this nation’s foundational principles against the systematic chipping away of our Constitution bylaws. So that the passivity of those on the Right, today, is old news, for generations, now. Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, now both vilified and glorified in death, according to one’s historical perspective, were “America First” anomalies, just as the America they loved and represented is now dead and buried, replaced by a watered-down, Western Hemisphere version of the old Soviet Union, which simply transferred its base of operations to our back yard, at a time when we thought world Communism was vanquished, forever. It is interesting to note how the forces of Capitalism and freedom won the external war, but the forces of Communism and totalitarian socialistic enslavement have won the internal war for control of what used to be the United States of America.
The democrats always defend their own, whether the person they are defending is right or wrong, usually wrong. This is because it is more important for democrats to WIN at any cost, as opposed to standing for a sense of justice and equality.
The republicans have no spine and cower and run at the first sign of a controversy involving one pf their own, especially revolving around the issue of political correctness.
We’re doomed, unless something dramatic takes place in American politics this year. The writing is already on the wall and most of us prefer to mentally reside in the unspoken 51st state of the UnitedStates…..the state of Ofdenial.
You’re correct Mr. Ringer, I did chuckle at your revelation of having an “archetypal liberal hippie” as a girlfriend. I never had such a girlfriend, because I recognize the natural enemies to my long term happiness.
More to the point: Let’s not forget individuals like Sarah The Spineless Barracuda and how they lack the insight to fully recognize their natural enemies and the conviction to confront them head on, right in their face. Perhaps, in time, and after a penetrating core change, Sarah can assume a leadership role. Frankly, I doubt it. Why? Leadership is almost like a gift, and you ether have it or you don’t baby……. …that’s why.
So O.K., is there anybody out there who has a spine? Is there anybody out there that clearly recognizes the enemy and has a VIABLE plan of action? Is there anybody out there that is both an educator and a brave man—a man that would not be afraid to lead a bloody fight when it comes to that?
Yes, there is such a man. A real man. The complete package. A man that you could stand next to in a real fight. He’s not perfect, but if the Founding Fathers were alive, then I’m sure that he would fit right in. He would also fit in at the Alamo;Yes, he’s that kind of a man.
This man’s ratings have grown 46% in the in past six months. The viewer growth of his site is blowing Glenn Beck’s and Rush Limbaugh’s right out of the water. The Drudge Report, the number-one news website in the world, has just added this patriotic man’s program as a link.
Yes, there is a new sheriff in town straight from the grass roots of America. And he’s a sharp-shooter who’s gunning for community/environmental organizers. He’s a patriot who has been warning of America turning into a police state for the last 14 years. A man who Glenn Beck is just now starting to catch up to—in terms of his conspiracy theories. A man who “gets it.” A pitbull of a man that eats Spineless Barracudas for lunch. Saul Alinsky’s worst nightmare. A man who knows how to quote George Washington: “The thing that sets the American Christian apart from all other people in the world is he will DIE on his feet, before he’ll LIVE on his knees.”
Many individuals such as Judge Andrew Napolitano appear on his program regularly. I’m sure that the Judge does not agree with everything that he says, but, like me, the Judge respects him. By the way, the Judge is one of the very, very few men who “gets it.” I don’t know if the Judge is a valiant man who could get his hands bloody in a real fight, but he has a mind like a bear trap.
Listen people, there is a new party coming. There is a core of valiant men & women developing that is about to explode onto the mainstream like a stick of dynamite. They will attempt to take America back from the traitors who have gripped us with the oligarchic strangle-hold that is killing our beloved country. In fact, there is only one way to stop them, and that’s if you kill them.
The only thing negative I can say about the man is that his conspiracy theories may go to far.

Obama Banning All Firearms
Obama Takes First Step in Banning All Firearms On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the Unite d States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public.
We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Robert – On another topic, could you, in some future column, address the Constitutionality, or unconstitutionality, of the Obama Administration blantantly currying favor with labor unions by waving taxes for them, pertaining to health care? In other words, “Vote for me and you get a tax break, don’t vote for me and I stick it to you.”
What about the rest of us, and the added tax burden this favoratism imposes upon us. How in the Hell can this business of paying off constituents and bilking the rest of us be legal, and be tolerated by those of us who do not suck up to this candy dispenser? Thanks for any input you have to offer in this regard – I am incensed that these sleaze ball leftists have the gall to take their back room deals public!
Re: Constitutionality of the wavier of taxes for individual groups:
The federalist 57 addresses this situation directily.
“I will add, as a fifth circumstance in the situation of the House of Representatives, restraining them from oppressive measures, that they can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society. This has always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them that communion of interests and sympathy of sentiments, of which few governments have furnished examples; but without which every government degenerates into tyranny. If it be asked, what is to restrain the House of Representatives from making legal discriminations in favor of themselves and a particular class of the society? I answer: the genius of the whole system; the nature of just and constitutional laws; and above all, the vigilant and manly spirit which actuates the people of America, a spirit which nourishes freedom, and in return is nourished by it.”
Article 1, sections 9 and 10 both prohibit attainder, and attainder is, by its very definition, looking back through the histories, through the numerous court cases, through the British law it was founded on, any act that extends any benefit, or any penalty to any group. In the case of benefits, it is a penalty to other groups not receiving such benefits. It removes a singular and unique property under the law, the property of equality under that rule of law itself.
One might ask, if one were a total idiot, what has happened to that rule of law; the answer would be simple. It has been bartered and traded for benefits for so long that it has, for many, become meaningless.
