The W Factor, Part I

By Robert Ringer - Monday, April 13, 2009

I ended Part II of my article “Does Anyone Get It Yet?” by saying, “Perhaps you’re wondering what the W stands for in the D & W Factors, and how it plays into all this. No teasing intended, but I think I’ll leave that for another time. I wouldn’t want to say anything that might spoil your otherwise blissful day.”

Well, wouldn’t you know it? Here I am, just ten days later, and I can’t resist revealing the W Factor. As I’ve already explained, the D stands for Dictatorship. Now, there are many avenues that can lead to a dictatorship, but perhaps the one that offers the least amount of resistance is to be found in the W Factor: War.

It’s not exactly a revelation to say that liberal myths have been ingrained in the minds of the general public for decades, and one of the greatest of those myths is that conservatives are warmongers. You do remember how Ronald Reagan was going to pull the trigger on World War III fifteen minutes after being sworn into office, don’t you?

What a disappointment he turned out to be. Other than a little communist butt-kicking in Grenada in 1983, sending a playful missile across Mohammar Quadaffi’s dining room table in 1986, and the much-ado-about-nothing Iran-Contra affair, it was Reagan’s aura of strength — not bombs and bullets — that caused walls to fall and evil empires to crumble.

Don’t get me wrong. Plenty of conservatives have opted for war during the past hundred years, the latest being George W. Bush. But, while ego and revenge are possible motives for his ill-advised foray into the Middle East, I don’t believe Bush invaded Iraq to increase his personal power over U.S. citizens.

Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for liberals, who are genetically programmed to speak with forked tongues. It has long been apparent to me that these perpetually angry humanoids — in particular, those on the far left — are fascists at heart.

Think environmentalism and “global warming” … think anti-gun fanaticism … think annihilation of free speech. Think of anything that flies in the face of their addiction to causes that take liberties away from individuals and give more power to government.

If you’ve been taken in by the liberal myth that fascism is a synonym for conservatism, consider the words of Jonah Goldberg, from his book Liberal Fascism:

The major flaw in all this is that fascism, properly understood, is not a phenomenon of the right at all. Instead, it is, and always has been, a phenomenon of the left. This fact — an inconvenient truth if there ever was one — is obscured in our time by the equally mistaken belief that fascism and communism are opposites.

In reality, they are closely related, historical competitors for the same constituents, seeking to dominate and control the same social space. The fact that they appear as polar opposites is a trick of intellectual history and (more to the point) the result of a concerted propaganda effort on the part of the “Reds” [RR Note: Communists, not the Cincinnati Reds] to make the “Browns” [RR Note: Nazis, not the Cleveland Browns] appear objectively evil and “other” (ironically, demonization of the “other” is counted as a definitional trait of fascism). But in terms of their theory and practice, the differences are minimal.

Goldberg later goes on to say:

Now, I am not saying that all liberals are fascists. Nor am I saying that to believe in socialized medicine or smoking bans is evidence that you are a crypto-Nazi. What I am mainly trying to do is to dismantle the granitelike assumption in our political culture that American conservatism is an offshoot or cousin of fascism. Rather, as I will try to show, many of the ideas and impulses that inform what we call liberalism come to us through an intellectual tradition that led directly to fascism. These ideas were embraced by fascism, and remain in important respects fascistic.

So what, exactly, is fascism? Fascism is defined as “a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.”

Based on the historical evidence, I would add to this definition “having a penchant for coming up with reasons to go to war.” Sorry to puncture a longstanding myth, but the facts clearly show that for the past hundred years, Democrats, by and large, have been The Party of War.

And in Part II of this article, we’ll take a closer look at that reality.

The following should clear up any confusion about the so-called difference between the left and right or between socialism and fascism.

Although there are many “isms” to designate the various social systems that have existed throughout history, there are basically only three. They are Capitalism, Socialism and Interventionism. We can place all the “isms” into one of these three categories.

    1. Capitalism is an economic concept of civilization that is based on the private ownership and control of the means of production.
    2. Socialism is a system of social organization that calls for public (state) ownership of the means of production. The totalitarian state owns everything and everyone’s life.
    3. Interventionism is the practice of government interference in the marketplace. Government “legally” hampers the smooth functioning of the market economy.

As you can see fascism is socialism, which explains how “peaceful” liberals suddenly become headhunting warmongers.

Even though, i’m not a citizen, nevertheless i fought for this great nation that i adopted as my own, yes i did a stint in the US Army, and went round the world, and wherever i went people had that mezmerizing look in their faces, wow look at the Americans, they come to give us freedom and share their cocacolas, chocolates and MREs lol.
on a more serious note, Liberalism, progressive thinking and fascism are not something new,the tower of Bable was created in that thinking, if we progress upward enough we will reach heavens and be like GOD, then they got their language scrambled, by GOD himself, because people are created in the image of GOD therefore having the same atributes as GOD but we humans are always looking for other methods and sytems even in other planets and other beings(aliens) for guidance, intelligence, when we have everything we need here on earth, The Romans invented The Republical System and were so wildly properous and free just like America has been for the past 200+ yrs but when you live in prosperity too long, people tend to be complacient, taking freedom for granted and forgetting what and who made them free and prosperous as generation come and go, so the Romans started to look up to the Goverment as an answer to all their problems, taxes started going thru the roof to pay for the demands of the people, like unemployment, food, healthcare, bailouts, so the few that paid most of the taxes started working less and going to other nations taking their wealth with them, eventually there was no more money to paid for all the entittlements that the public demanded and chaos coupled with moral decay started the crumbling of a once a great Empire, eventually the people will vote themself into a tiranny specially when crisis abound, just look at the 1930s recession, that was the biggest expansion of goverment in the history of this great country, and right about then Hitler came on the scene and just like in todays Iran,North Korea,Alqa-ida,hesbola, Europe was warned but they thought he was just another guy with a new( progressive) way of thinking, Fascism, comunism and socialism, all of the above are born in crisis like economic colapses, people always look at other people or new ways of goverment or thinking instead of looking inward and upward and taking responsability for their mistakes and going back to basics, and learning from history on what works and on what doesn’t.
Same thing with Adam and Eve, God told them not to eat of the Tree of knowledge, but along came The Serpent, being the craftiest of all the animals and convinced them that if they ate the fruit of the tree they will be like God and know good and evil, again you see the pattern here, someone else has to come and tell you that if you do certain NEW things you will be in better shape, when the truth is we already possesed the abilities given by the creator, same thing with Progressive thinking, The old system has fallen and you need a new way of doing things or governing, never listen to that kind of thinking, remember one thing the principles already put inplace by the creator never change, same as our forefathers, with Bible on hand crafted the constitution and they were willing to die for the new republic created base on fundamental principles, unchangeble…You can never throw more debt on top of debt to get out of a recession, since we don’t have gold as the backing of our currency goverment can virtually print Trillions of dollars with no value, raising taxes to recoup these massive debts, shrinking your paycheck even more and the actual value of the dollar growing weaker by the minute!

  3. Thanks for this piece of sanity.

I always knew that the extreme left ( communists ) and extreme right ( nazis ) have a lot in common, partly because when I was young my father told me that there is not much difference between the extreme left and the extreme right, their major property being “extreme”.

Your article connected some additional dots for me.

Since they both need an enemy, the extreme left and extreme right choose each other as enemy. This means that they are just two parts of the same system. None can exists without the other. If there is no enemy, then they create one because they need one.

The question is: How do we tell this to young communists who are usually well-intentioned people who think that they do something good for humanity if they choose some communist organisation? But rather they are suckered into a sect-like organisation which gives them intense brainwashing which elinimates those tiny rests of common sense which the public school system has somehow left intact.

Unfortunately I have no answer. I know that some of them regain their common sense by themselves when they grow older and then they leave those organisations. But the rest of them seems kind of lost forever. They are kind of like victims of these sect-like organisations.
And from some experience with talking to them I know that with my modest level of rhetoric capabilities it is impossible to create any change of mindset. Their brainwashing is very efficient and they get engrained a model of the world which basically tells them that they are right and everybody else is wrong and that if somebody tells them something which contradicts their model, it is because this somebody is a representative of the “class-enemy” or a “brainwashed victim” of the “class-enemy” who is trying to sucker them away from “truth”.

BTW, It is no coincidence that communist ideology aims at abolishing any religion: The reason is: they are a religion themselves: a non-spiritual, ideological religion. And there can only be at most one religion for one person at a time.

But still, I’d like to find a way to educate them.

    Any ideas?

  4. power factor…

I can’t believe that I missed your point, I will have to do some research on this….
