Republicans spend much much more than Democrats and have for the last period of time. The solutions to our problems are just what made the US great at one time. We need to cut spending for the military and stop fighting wars in an aimless and ill conceived fashion. We can't afford to be the world's and the Middle East's protector. Oil is gone as an energy source and we must move on but it is important that we do this as a dialog and not just for the interests of a few and the major corporations. Rebuilding can be done if we recognize that this low point in the economy is only a phase in the business cycle as usual.

First of all the political party that has doubled and tripled the national debt over and over again is the Republican Party. That the party is over and shoveling more money on to the fire is not going to help. The party I might add most americans were not invited to but got stuck with the bill anyway. But this bill is much to big to pay.
I voted for Barack Obama and I support him , but as a reader of Robert Ringer s books I know he is right when he says that when charsmatic leaders promise happiness in the future, the future never comes.

I find it very interesting that ultra liberials like james howard kuntsler are writing the same thing as the ultra conservatives like rush limbaugh.

That the party is over and shoveling more money on to the fire is not going to help.
