Your wisdom, insight, analysis, and the sharing of your hard earned experience has been, and is, greatly appreciated.
A prosperous and safe 2009 to you, your family, and to all the others reading this.

A good reminder Robert and once again, with the focus on what I believe you’ve become quite adept at, which is keeping things in relative perspective under all circumstances.

Your wisdom, insight, analysis, and the sharing of your hard earned experience has been, and is, greatly appreciated.

A prosperous and safe 2009 to you, your family, and to all the others reading this.

By: cccastellon

<guid

Good to know that you're now on the Web. I read your books at a time when I wasn't doing financially well, and the principles you described guided me as I worked my way back up.

Thanks for this timely message. How right you are. Unfortunately it is so easy for a person who believes he's a loser to give up and indulge in all types of irrationally selfish activities in an attempt to eliminate his pain and suffering. I certainly understand the appeal of short-term pleasurable, but self-destructive activities. In my younger years I attempted these enticing methods on many occasions. Of course, self-destructive behavior never relieves a person's misery for very long. In fact, it usually increases it rather quickly. This type of behavior always set me back—preventing me from accomplishing my goals and desires.
Unless a person has made the fatal mistake, it is never too late to move forward to success and happiness. Napoleon Hill said “Adversity has within it the seeds of an equivalent or greater benefit.” Yes, there is hope for a happy, prosperous New Year. And a person who reads the wisdom of Robert Ringer and other great thinkers—and acts on the knowledge definitely possesses a reason to believe 2009 will bring happiness and success into his or her life.
P.S I hope the mall didn’t depress you to the point of hopelessness. It would be disheartening to many of your readers to discover you needed to swallow daily hits of Prozac to come out of your depressive tailspin. Although I admit that shopping at the mall during the holiday season can test any man or woman—even the man or woman of infinite patience and ironclad will power.
Happy New Year

Your words ring true for the person that is capable of actually getting up off the ground, dusting themselves off, and going back into the fight. Sadly, I feel that the number of people capable of doing that are a rapidly shrinking minority.
There was a time in our country's history where most people were like this from birth, but years of creeping socialism and weakness among people has created a society that simply doesn't want or know how to do this any longer. Self reliance and personal responsibility are almost non-existent among society at large.
I don't know the person you are referring to in the post above, but many in his shoes will simply scream about the injustice and claim he was tricked, fooled, it wasn't his fault, etc. and cry for big nanny government to come and help him. It will not dawn on him or people like him that THEY are responsible for what happens in their own life and government, banks, mortgage brokers, Fannie Mae, employers, etc. are not here to work for them and nanny them into a comfortable numbness so they don't have to think or be responsible any longer.
I pray for the days when our society begins to breed self reliant and responsible people again, but the most recent election with B.O. coming out way on top tells me people don't want any part of that. They want socialism and a nanny state. In the words of Pink Floyd...they want to be comfortably numb.

Robert:

Your words ring true for the person that is capable of actually getting up off the ground, dusting themselves off, and going back into the fight.
